I had an outrageously horrible experience at Pinstripes yesterday (December 29, 2016). I had a day off work and the kids were on break so my neighbor and I planned the night before to take our kids to Pinstripes because they advertised on their calendar a kids morning event from 10-12. When we arrived at 9:45 there were already several moms and kids there upset. The manager told us that if we didnt have a reservation we couldnt bowl. The other mothers stated reservations for this were not needed in the past and not stated on the website. They then informed us the venue was booked for the entire day starting at 11 and that the kids event was not occurring. More and more people were coming in and the manager said there was nothing he could do. As some people did not accept this he then stepped away and after some time a guy in a leather jacket appeared. After being briefed he walked over to us with a smirk and said that he didnt understand why people were upset. After we explained the situation to him ourselves he said that we could bowl until 10:45 for free. But then needed to clear out. I then said, "and we will get vouchers too right?" (Because bowling for 30 mins with 4 kids is not possible) he told me that I "needed to calm down". I then said, "oh hell no", I literally have never uttered that phrase in my life before but I was just THAT INSULTED. He then announced to his staff bowling was "free to everyone but her." I told him that was horrible customer service and he said, "Do you want to bowl or not?" I was literally shaking and a few mins later I came up to him and said, "I just want you to know I am feeling very shaken up about this and I want to give you the opportunity to clear things up." He said, "You threatened me! Coming in here telling me what I will do for you." I said, "You are a man talking to a woman this way. Tell me what threatening words I said to you?" He replied, "this conversation is over" and was laughing. I looked him up and he appears to be Chris Soukup the director of operations for corporate. How do you report on the boss boss? My kids said they were scared and never wanted to go back in there. I told them this is am opportunity to learn how not to be.

We made reservations 5 weeks earlier for our anniversary. When we arrived we were squeezed into a lane next to a 6yr olds birthday party. Needless to say, they were running around out of control. Several times they literally walked right in front of us while we were bowling. The parents couldnt care less and made a big production when we asked that not all 10 kids be standing in the lanes when one was bowling. Pinstripes staff were useless, when we asked them to intervene,they just responded "its a birthday party" like that justified our time there being ruined. We asked to be moved to a different lane, we were told if we did, our time would then be limited, like we were being penalized for wanting what was supposed to be a good time. In the end we demanded a refund, which we were given, with no apologies or offers to assist in any way. Pinstripes simply didnt care that they lost potential customers who will never be back. The experience is not worth the exorbitant price ($42 for three to bowl 2 games!) or the pathetic atmosphere and tiny bowling area. UPDATE - We got the canned "were so sorry to hear you werent happy" response from Pinstripes official apologizer. We were asked for our phone number because the manager would "love" to discuss this issue with us. Of course, we never did get that phone call, so dont fall for the fake "were so sorry" spiel, its just another failure in their customer service.

The service was fantastic. Our party of 3 adults and 4 kids was sat right away on the patio and no one was without drinks the entire time. It was a beautiful day and the patio was a great way to take in the weather. The kids loved hanging out next to the fountain by the patio. We let the server know we were low carb so some of the appetizers that could typically be low carb, the server kindly let us know that bread crumbs are added (spinach and artichoke dip). My wife got the chicken BLT with no bun. I got the salmon with no bun. The salmon was a 5oz portion so I knew I’d need a little more. I upgraded to the Caesar salad as my side and added steak. I asked for medium rare but got well done. Thankfully the steak was very tender. The meal tasted FANTASTIC and it will be my go to keto meal. Salmon, no bread, Caesar salad with steak. The Caesar dressing is very strong. Almost spicy (I assume lots of garlic?). LOVED it! The kids’s meal was a heck of deal when you figure it included a breadstick appetizer, the entree, drink, and dessert. I think it was $9 for all of it.

Took my staff for birthday celebration and was unpleasantly surprised by terrible customer service in the bowling area. I had made a reservation a week prior. We showed up on time for our bowling and had to wait 5 minutes. When directed to our lane, we were just left there with no explanation. We noticed that our lane had some sort of mechanical issue. After telling about 3 people about it, 20 min later I finally asked for a manager. Jason showed up promptly, offered no apology and climbed behind the lane to fix the issue. I asked him if there is anything he can do to make our so far bad experience better. Again no apology. He just offered to either refund our money and we would not play or he could extend our playing time by 30 min. In an upscale bowling alley with week advance reservation, half hour delay without any apology or offer is unacceptable. It was embarrassing experience in front of my staff. It was my last time at oakbrook pinstripes!

Came here Jan 22, 2017 to take my parents and the kids out for some fun. Food was pretty good and the atmosphere is relatively laid back. Expensive, but not bad to spend some time with the family. What gets me is the management is severely lacking in their job in making this a super fantastic place. The food coming out was really slow didnt bring utensils and forgot some of the food items, had to remind the wait staff. The bloody mary was not good at all. They took our pizza which had 4 slices still left, what the heck!? We werent finished with the pizza! The management did come to speak with us. However, they only offered to give us another pizza, which we didnt even want since we were full. Not cool on their part. I would come back if management would step up more on the whole service.

We booked a company outing here for 30 people we where told that we get beer wine and rail cocktails and food was pizza and sliders . We get there and find out its craft beer and wine no cocktails and its pizza only for food. To top it off we have two lanes... for 30 people? And have a single server yeah not happy at all the manager was a little help he got us a third lane our server (kali) did an awesome job with keeping our drinks full even with how overwhelmed she got The lanes didnt seem to be oiled so the ball rolled really weird The bocce lanes where real nice Over all this place was trying to make bowling a classy activity they failed bowling is a miller light or old style pitchers frozen pizza kind of event
