Just because you have a shamrock on your sign and serve Guinness (flat and in a plastic mug) does not make you an Irish Pub!! We made the mistake of eating here on 2/25/10. The appetizer of fried mushrooms was passable, the waitress, Amber, was great and my son said the open faced roast beef was edible. My husband and I ordered the corned beef and cabbage and I ordered a bowl of the onion soup. The soup was horrible - the cheese separated because it wasnt real cheese and it was burned, along with the onions. I asked to exchange it for the potato soup (thinking that surely an Irish Pub would have good potato soup) - it was worse. There was one large chunk of potato and one tiny sliver of onion laying in what tasted like wallpaper paste. The corned beef and cabbage looked great but was covered with paprika, the potatoes were "from the refrigerator" cold and the the celery and carrots tasteless. The corned beef was not edible. The entire dish tasted like it had been boiled in vinegar water. A young man came through and asked us how it was and I explained that it really wasnt good at all and that we were unable to eat it. He told us he would check with the manager to see what could be done, The waitress came back and offered us a free desert but we really didnt want to chance it after what we had already been offered! We were presented with a full price bill. We paid it and left, secure in the knowledge that we would never make this mistake again. We went to Gurnee and ate the rest of the time we were in the area. Thank goodness we didnt take our sailor here!!!

I have been a long time customer at full moon, and since I recently found out they own flanigans too wanted to check it out. Nice place, bigger than full moon, less food options though. But they had everything from wings to steaks on the menu. I went on a wednesday night and it wasnt too busy, about 20 customers compared to full moon which is always packed. The food came out fast, and tasted good just like at full moon. I ordered the chopped steak and was done perfect and juicy. Prices affordable just like full moon. I would recommend this place, but I am not sure if ill be a regular since I still enjoy full moon, but ill be back, especially to watch the Bulls.

This place was fantastic! We are visiting my brother in the navy for the weekend and have already gone there two times. We will probably go again. The food is very inexpensive and is very large in portions. I never get to finish my food and have to take it back to the hotel. The inside isnt something fancy but I think it gives off a very good atmosphere. There were people at the bar who were regulars and they were singing all together really loud and it was over all a very pleasant place to go to. I would definitely recommend going to the place the waiters are all very kind and the people who left bad reviews are just stupid and dont know how to go to a restaurant.

I went here on August 3rd after my husbands Bootcamp Graduation. We had a blast. Food was awesome, and what we got for the price even more awesome. We had stake, others had shrimp, and even my father in law who is vegetarian enjoyed the food. They came back the next day, me and my hubby were on our way to his ASchool but wouldve loved to join them. Also, it is so accesible to the base. After this we went bowling, and we had no problem with rushing to get him back. I was extremely pleased with my visit. Please, do not let the decor and the look of the building fool you!

The only reason it has two stars is because of the service, the service is great. The food on the other hand....I must say is horrible. Lets start with the drinks. My mom ordered a crown and coke and I ordered a cranberry and vodka which were so strong that we could not enjoy the drinks. The bartender over pours the drinks as we watched her make drinks. The food is greasy, old, and over/under cooked. While eating I saw our bartender take two shots so I am pretty sure she is intoxicated. The atmosphere is amazing and the service is great but everything else is horrible.

Came here for the thursday navy meet & greet, everyone was friendly and the free appetizers were good. The food was pretty good, especially the flaming cheese. Lots of families from out of town for the graduation at the meet & greet and got to meet many others in the room set up just for us! They also had karaoke in the bar area but we were too tired to stay since we were going to be up early for graduation. BTW, not sure about the other reviews, but the food was good. Maybe new management?

Had high hopes for this place, due to decent reviews. However, when myself and a friend walked in there wasnt a single employee in sight. We waited, then decided to find a seat (there were only about 7 customers in the entire place). We waited at a table for 15 minutes, before deciding to walk around looking for someone. Found no one, and the regulars looked at us kind of strange. Not a single employee behind the bar, or in sight. Needless to say we left. Will not be returning.

Waited 20 minutes for service, waited an hour and 20 minutes for food only to be told the cook accidentally made the wrong food after the first hour. I ordered the London broil and got burnt slices of beef with assorted over cooked vegetables drowned in Worcestershire sauce. There was also a large dog roaming around the restaurant. Not sure about Illinois health laws... I will not be coming back to this establishment.

This place needs a huge renovation. Its really run-down and outdated. With that said, you get a ton of food for what you pay. The burger was actually very good and they have a decent amount of TVs around the room to catch the games. However, they dont have sound connected, so calling it a sports bar is a stretch.

The first time Id been to an Irish-Greek Bar and Grill. The food was good, the staff was great. Excellent selection of beer on tap. It was walking distance from our motel, and when the weather is below zero - that is a major plus. We went there twice and enjoyed ourselves both times. Try the Saganaki. OPA!
