Decent place but lack luster owner and staff. This place gets 2 stars only because its very close to my house and it is cozy inside. The crowd is also a bit more mature and dont seem to mind the slow service. First off service can be bad or boarder line rude from bartenders and or the owners. They dont have a regular waitress so go to the bar to get served. At times if they are not crowded, and dont have live music playing, and are not in a bad mood, they will wait on your table. In their defense there is a sign stating something to this effect on the bar. But if you just walk in and sit down at a table you will die of dehydration before a bartender tells you this. Wine and beer selection is very limited especially by the glass. Low end wine selection with high prices. $8-$10 per glass. They do have several good craft beers for $5 but again a very small selection. Also the wine list has not changed since this place opened. Need some rotation. So this isnt a "go taste some wine and get educated on wines place" but rather "a cozy corner bar that just happens to sell wine place". The owner is a bit odd and several people say she has been downright rude to them. Seems more like her hobby than a business venture. I have come in and been totally ignored until they were done cleaning up before serving me. Hey you have to greet the guest with a smile and tell them you with be right with them. They ignore you until they are ready to service you. Upsides are the wines they do have are good but admittedly, Im a novice red wine guy. They have had some really good entertainment at times and the place was rocking. Its cozy and well decorated but small when they have a band. I have been there many times and will go back but the staff really needs to be better trained at customer service. We took some friends recently who are big into wine and they said they wouldnt ever go back. Poor selection and cold shoulder service led them to this decision. Lastly is they dont have any food but do recommended the local pizza place who will deliver to your table. Its worth stopping in but its hit or miss. If its lame head across the street to the local Tap House although they have their own service issues too.

was nothing to write home about. I thought the service was friendly and the ambiance was nice, until the entertainment showed up. Think horrible lounge act and youve got it nailed. It was a first date (and 6 months later we are going strong!) and we HAD to get out of there after the "entertainment" started. The staff was friendly but not what I would call knowledgeable. They might know if they like a particular wine, but thats not enough in my opinon. I expect someone working in a wine bar to be on par with a sommelier that one would find at a high end restaurant. For instance, we were told that the wine was "woody" and I spoke before stopping myself and asked the server if he meant "oaky", to which he replied "Oak is wood." I just let it pass, and we went on to try everything that was on the tasting list. Glad we did, because it was CHEAP so we were able to enjoy ourselves without breaking the bank. We "might" go back, but not in the very near future.

Very friendly, helpful staff. We were there early on a Saturday evening recently - it was quiet. But as the evening went on it filled up and a wonderful two man band played and turned the place into a party. We had a blast! They have a wine sampling which we really enjoyed. Very nice place to go for a quiet drink, or you can go when theres entertainment and enjoy a more festive atmosphere. Its in the old bank building on the corner of 9th and State.

I knew the last owners and played at their open mic jams. Ive heard the jams are still good. The new owners added a food menu that was quite good. Chips and salsa was pretty good, and their pizza was killer (crust was a seasoned flatbread). We saw a band that did a bunch of Santana covers; they were good, but they were so loud and its a small room. Also, their singer was hard to hear over their 3 drummers.

If you need a place to relax after a long day or week this is the place to go. Great live music, excellent food, amazing wine/martinis, and some really nice people. My wife and I try to make it up there at least once a week. We love the chill atmosphere, different than the typical bar scene. I recommend you check it out - grab a drink, listen to some music, and just relax.

Played live there with King Music Studio, the sound system was great! The equipment was in prestene condition, I had a great time jammin with the band and the hospitality was great. The place was organized and the food was GREAT! I hope to play live there again! The con was that the piano was out of tune but thats ok. Overall, GREAT PLACE 2 PLAY LIVE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This place is pleasant enough but the prices seem to be way more than they should. They triple the cost of a bottle of wine. I found the same wine at a store for $11 but they charged me $30. Seems very unfair. Aside from that the atmosphere is nice and the live music is also a nice addition. Too bad about the price gouging though.

Great new menu was a surprise and really good food. The addition of mixed drinks made me happy cause Im not a wine drinker. The entertainment is always good listening and upbeat on the weekends. Friendly owners too ! Looking forward to be entertained by " Rescue Dogs " acoustic duo.
