This theater is GREAT! They have first run movies for an awesome price!~ $5 Matinee, and I think an evening is only $7... Popcorn / Candy is even cheaper than other theaters in the area. OH! And lets not forget the "souvenir" cup. If you plan to see more than one movie at this theater... buy one! Its like $6 the first time... but then you get refills for $1 every time you come back!!! Its totally worth it. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Plus! You can get Abes Gourmet Popcorn - YUM!!! The picture and sound quality to me - is equal to that of any other theater. But, Im not an expert. But its fine for me and my mini! As far as comfort - The main theater is Okay, it has cup holders in the arms. But it is an HISTORIC theater. It doesnt have the reclining seats, or the "cuddle seats" where the arms lift up. Some people may find it a bit uncomfortable. The two upstairs theaters... not so comfortable. no cup holders, no leg room. But (when we tend to go) they are not crowded so you can kinda make it work. One last thing... as others have said - You definitely want to go listen to the organist! Its amazing!!! :-)

The 1 star reviews are comical... The theater is a historic building. One of the only still functioning theaters in the area from the 1920s, if im not mistaken. Yes, The seats are not Wehrenberg. Nor should they be. The audio could be better, sure, but once youre in your seat, with your popcorn, and the light dim, theres no difference in movie experience. Except, the natural acoustics of the opera house style main screen adds an immersion. Couple that with the fact a date here will set you back half of a trip to Wehrenberg, and (if they still do it) opening nights for big premieres there was a gentleman who came and played a rendition on the organ live for the crowd prior to movie start. I used to only go to Wehrenberg. I now am an avid Lincoln fan of the past few years. The place is just generally better all around.

I recently visited this theater to see the new Hunger Games film. It was the films opening weekend...I think its needless to say that the theater was very busy! Luckily, I got there early and picked the best seat in the house. No other first-run movie theater in the area can beat the ticket price; however, I had an issue with the seating. The chairs were pretty uncomfortable. There is NO extra legroom, even if you are just a *little* bit on the tall side. I cant imagine how uncomfortable my very-tall boyfriend was! I am not sure if I will be back to the Lincoln to see another movie. The more expensive theaters are more likely to get my money.

The day i went to see a movie they had live music until the movie started. The lady that was playing that night was very friendly she let everyone know she was about to play and she was wonderful. The service from the staff from the time i got my tickets and food. The popcorn was very fresh but the hot dogs could have been a little hotter but other than that me and my family had a great time and will be back soon.

I absolutely LOVE this theater. Its family owned and run, great staff, good movies, value priced snacks and the popcorn is the bomb! Also, for some of us who have had eye surgery, this is the only theater we can go to anymore as it has digital projection and sound but not multiple projectors which my eyes cannot deal with the "ghosts" caused by that format. Make sure you catch the organist sometime too.

It aint no fashion show, but its a deal! Prices are reasonable and affordable for families. The big old main theater is a neat, retro place to see a movie. For the upstairs theaters, get your hiking shoes on, the stairs are steep. But all of the "features" are part of the ambiance and the value. Every time I see a movie at the Lincoln I feel like i got away with something.

I agree with IBat - this is hands-down the BEST theater in our region. Their pricing is right. They show what you want to see. Their popcorn tastes better than the other locals AND its about a tenth of the price. In my experience, there hasnt been too much in the way of poorly behaved children (or adults for that matter).

Great little mom pop theater, three movies, low prices on tickets and food. Seats are not the most comfortable, but for the price you cant complain. Itll often have children movies, but does get adult enjoyable ones as well (Superman v. Batman; Fifty Shades; Hidden Figures, ones not necessarily good for children to see etc)

An icon of the city of Belleville. Been going since I was a kid(even played the organ once as a kid). Not only is it a historical theater, but they show new movies at really decent prices(and their concessions are half the price of the chain theaters). If you are in the area, definitely stop in and see a flick.

This theater it still has the feeling of being a theater as opposed to a sanitized corporate building where you go to see a movie. The main theater looks like how nostalgia feels and the staff are always friendly but not "too friendly" just the way I like it. Check out the live organ on the weekends.

One of the best theaters around. For a guy like me who loves movies, its close to home, cheap, has great popcorn and the staff is so kind. The screens arent the best format but thats just cause its not a Wherenberg or Ronnies format. But this is still a great theater, especially for Birthdays.

downstairs theater is passable... food and drinks reasonably priced.. the two upstairs theaters should be closed.. the chairs are broken, no leg room, pealing paint, carpets are beyond filthy and wouldnt pass health inspection..to say it mildly, the upstairs theaters are third world.

Really cool how vintage and historic this place is, but that obviously comes with some issues here and there. Lots of steps to climb and the upstairs theater we were in was pretty steep. Had some broken seats here and there. But it was still fun.

A staple of downtown Belleville, you can just feel the history of this building as soon as you walk in. From the ticket booth to the snack counter to the vintage candy machines, this is not the type of theatre you see every day.

The theater is a great old building, but the service, and food is terrible. We had to throw away four hot dogs that we purchased and the staff was rude when we picked up our tickets that we purchased on-line.

old school movie theater feel and as real as its get... Its gets better and better. Ive been going to the Lincoln theater since I was a little kid and it was an awesome experience then and still is now

This theater was a pleasant surprise. It has an old, eclectic feel to it, and although it appeared slightly dingy at first, the viewing room was spectacular. Popcorn was good too, and prices were cheap

This is a great historic downtown theater, one of the last of its kind. Its great that small operations like it are still in business somewhere and the large theater chains havent totally taken over.
