In anticipation of relocating to Jefferson, GA from New York, we decided to check out the Atlanta club scene after taking in a Braves game. We knew, going in, that it would be hit or miss due to the fact that it was a Thursday. Sure enough, both Lava and Cosmo were pretty slow. That said, Tanya (the bartender at Lava) managed to keep us engaged and entertained with her genuinely sweet personality and light banter. The DJ was excellent and the club definitely has an upscale feel to it. Look forward to returning on a Friday or Saturday to find out what its like when things are really bumpin. I have a feeling that my "4" rating will quickly be upgraded to a "5" once I see the place running at full tilt.

Lava used to be one of my favorite night spots downtown. The 6 years I lived in ATL I always did the Halloween night. Well moved away for a year and just got back and juggled between Lava or T&G. Decided on Lava and must say was terribly disappointing. My first and biggest complaint is you never know when the lower level will be open. Saturday the downstairs was closed and only one DJ upstairs for the whole place. The DJ, worst I ever heard. When you have to recycle songs 3 times in 3 hours, well not very good. The top shelf liquor is questionable as well as the short pour the bartender made. Maybe was an off night but with many choices hard to want to ever go back..

Went here this past weekend with my best friend who was in town visiting. I loved the feel of this place and how many different floors and rooms there were to mingle in. There are various bartenders and plenty of sociable people all just there to have a great time. The only downfall was a few of the very creepy, clingy, older Indian men. No offense to all of them! Just the 2-3 that followed us around pleading for us to dance with them. Great atmosphere and drinks! Definitely for the grown and sexy, I spotted some girls in shorts and sandals, but Id definitely say go for the heels ladies!

The drinks were amazing! The bartenders and staff were super friendly. Love the layout of the club but the music isnt that great. Yes its a bar but I shouldnt like the music only when Im drunk. If ur sober u realize the dj plays the same songs with the same mix and same beats. Its 100 s of artist and 1000s of songs I shouldnt here the same song in less then two hours. I like it but when I started to sober up the music wasnt that hot. They may have different djs but this one wasnt hot.

Cosmo Lava, I LOVE YOU.Seriously.You are my favorite underground part of Atlanta where the music is always SO GOOD. SO SO GOOD.The first time I was here, I kind of lost my mind it was so good. We dont have places like this in Minneapolis, so when I left Atlanta, I left a little piece of my heart here.Word to the ladies: no heels. Youll thank me the morning after. Also, dont wear your dry clean only stuff, theres smoking inside here.

Terrible! Cosmolava is a sexist and Unamerican club. They refused to let us in because the men had no sleeves on and another gentleman had American flag pants on. This is outrageous! Also, I guarantee you there were women who had sleeveless tops on. I guess in the bouncers mind women are okay to be sleeveless, but not men. Anyways, we found a better club down the street called Sutra Lounge, it was amazing!! Go there, you wont regret it!

Came here to dance recently for my bachelorette party. There was no cover fee at the door. The bartender was SUPER nice and made us feel so welcome, I wish I would have gotten his name! The music and the crowd were a lot of fun and we had a great evening! There ended up being several different groups of brides/bachelorette parties going on that same evening and we had a blast there! I would definitely return for a girls night out.

Came for a bachelorette party and had an ok time. Wait staff was super cool (maybe because we had a section lol) but the bouncers were pretty strict about the dress code. Love the outdoor patios. Music was ehhh. DJ could have played more new music.

This lounge looks super chic and nice, however im not sure if i was there too early (1am) because it was quite dead there.. the music was subpar, the staff was exception.. I think there is a cover charge but not sure of what exactly

I use to LOVE this place - but the dj recently has been all about techno and we all- a party of 32 that were most of the dance floor - asked to switch it up and his response was well see. - maybe play your crowd better

Depends what you are in for - been here a few times and it is packed with beautiful people and usually a good DJ. That said, I find it hard to talk (unless you go outside on the deck) and the drinks are expensive.
