This was the best yet worst concert I have ever attended. First let me say Beyonce was awesome she came and did her thing I loved it. The problem is the purse check. I had a small crossbody purse that I had to take to purse check because it was too big. REALLY GA Dome!!! So you walk all the way to the front of the stadium to a tent over in the grass to check your purse they give you a gallon size ziploc bag to put your stuff in. (SN the security didnt even check the ziplock bag because I came in with mine under my arm). After the concert it was total madness because pretty much every lady at the show had to check her purse we are all standing in the grass at this tent waiting to give them a ticket for our purse. I spent an hour in this line waiting for my purse. It was absolutely unorganized, and what was worse was that some ladies stood in the line for an hour with me only to find out that they had their purses at a tent down the street. CCc coat check was horrible. It should state clearly that you have to have a clear purse or palm sized bag when entering the dome, when they sale you the tickets. I know next time.

When Georgia Dome security and organizers of the NFL football games charge $ 10.00 to the fans who go to the game by bringing a bag that does not fit the measurement required to enter the stadium, not only do they find a way to make hundred of thousands from those fans, but they upset those fans very much in the process. I am writing thus comment in behalf of thousands of those fans to express my opinion. Truly enforcing the policy concerning security for fans and football players should not result in making money by charging $ 10.00 in an exchange of a clear plastic bag, but only by penalizing those fans such as causing inconvenience to them by making them leave their bags behind with volunteers, and pick them up after the game. Fans will not want this inconvenience and will remember fir the future. There is a better way of asking for donations when donators give at free will for a cause. This is simply NOT a cause if donate, but a subtle way of taking people money, all the more there is no first warning!!! I donate to health organizations, to pet charity organizations, religious orders.

Im a longtime Atlanta resident and have gone to football games since the 70s. I cannot stand the Georgia Dome. I dont like domes that are not open air unless the stadium is in a very cold city. I realize that we needed a domed stadium for other events but it makes for a wretched football stadium. The concession stand lines are too long , there are very few monitors to watch the game while you are in a concession line , the bathrooms are poorly designed and allow too few people. The upper deck takes forever to get to and the stairs getting up to the seats are steep and treacherous. It is a very dated stadium in terms of functionality. With this being said the games are fun if the crowd is in to it. Full disclaimer I am not someone to bash anything. The old Fulton County stadium had plenty of flaws but at least it was open air and I enjoyed it for what it was. The new Mercedes Benz stadium will be an enormous upgrade. Glad to see the Dome going away. The people that work their are friendly.

As a venue it was awesome for the peach bowl. The game itself was poor but I still had a great experience with a good ticket deal where I could understand the game. The gear was overpriced with the souvenir football being $65! I liked how for $7 you could get a souvenir cup and unlimited refills. I am honestly looking forward to going to the Mercedes Benz stadium for the Nat Champ game next January. The Georgia Dome is nice but definitely showing a bit of age. Getting to the stadium was a nice 10 minute walk from my hotel with no issuedIt was kindve funny and ironic that I was a patriots fan in Atlanta prior to the super bowl, not knowing that we would play them. Id say as far as domes go it was one notch down from Lucas oil Stadium in Indy as far as Stadium quality and definitely competitiveness of the game. (See also)

Well Im from Missouri and I went with some of my fiends to watch a NFL game at the Georgia Dome and in Missouri at arrowhead they let you bring a clear bag or a small shoulder purse. So I had a small should purse and every security we passed made it very clear that I had to turn around and go to a tent to get my back checked and that I was not allowed to have it. Got to the tent and the workers were rude about having a purse, saying "You should know you shouldnt have this" even when I said "Im from Missouri, Ive never been here before." They continued to say "well you apparently have friends from here, they should have told you." Well wrong workers, & it cost $10 to get my purse checked and held. Sorry in arrowhead in Missouri they check your purse you walk through a metal detector and you go on.

The people of Atlanta and staff at Georgia dome are super friendly. I thought Georgia dome was clean and well kept. The two issues were fans do not stay in their seats. Fans from cheap seats come looking for seats in lower sections. They stand in aisles and watch game and take selfies standing in front of fans who paid much more for their seats. You get up for snacks or bathroom break and come back to find people in your seats. When asked to leave they refuse. We had to get security involved which took a whole quarter. They will need to adress that in new stadium. Secondly traffic to and from stadium. There is no plan. In other cities they create one way exit thorough ways to move traffic to interstate quicker. People of Georgia were extremely welcoming and kind.

At $9 a burger one would expect it to not be colder than the icey $7 souviner drink and at $9 for a Jack and Coke I would expect the bartender whose to caught up in talking than serving would be able to fill up the ounce measured cup for alcohol to the top instead of half way full so that way I now paid for a $9 half cup of Coke. But its okay I got great excersise walking about a mile to get to the dome after paying $30 for parking. With all the other consumers revenue coming into the statium I would expect just a hint of effort from the staff instead of complete negligence. Probably wont be coming back but thank god for Phillips arena and the new statium being build for the ability to go see activities enjoyable while getting gouged for all the money in my wallet.

Came to a falcons game, no where is there any warning that they dont take bags to be easily found on any websites concerning the dome or falcons nor is it on your ticket. As youre walking in they tell you they charge $10 to hold your bag so you have to wait in a line to get it after the game, on top of the traffic to get out of this shitty stadium. They are conartists taking money any way they can because their team cant support them stadiums they keep hoping around in. No stadium I have been to, including the local baseball team, the braves has ever taken your bags. This is a ridiculous policy that needs to be CLEARLY stated on the website...AND TICKETS FOR THAT MATTER.
