I really hope this review is taken as constructive criticism as I detest coming off as such an ogre. The structure of the Ritz itself is very classy and very beautiful. Almost stunning if you appreciate historic buildings as I do. The lobby is beautifully decorated and it was very clean. That being said, the seating arrangement is horrible. It had a lot of tacky plastic chairs usually used for outdoor summer parties. I get that you want to profit but you just cant cram so many chairs on such a small area. The messani was completely empty until much later in the night when maybe 10 people were allowed to enter so there was no need for the uncomfortable seating. The chairs were also on leveled ground which wouldnt enable spectators to view the stage without obstruction. We went to a magic show last Saturday (08/12/17) which was nice but the seating of the guests was bizarre and uncoordinated. They had a popcorn machine INSIDE the theater AND they burned a batch. The smell was overpowering and unforgivable. Also, a member of the staff made a promotional speech during intermission that was not rehearsed and came off unprofessional. A recorded message would have been more suitable. Lastly, theres no handicap access. It really is a shame because the venue has a lot of potential and Im sure that a few tweaks will improve their presence greatly.

The reason for my rating is that I live across from it and Ive been waiting for a show or something for a while. It looks abandoned. So sad, such a great location.
