It is my understanding they have "management" meetings everyday at the Lazy Flamigo at about 4:00, and frequently at a Pub called "Buckets" and Fridays is a round of golf at Fort Myers Country Club with members and employees followed of course by many more rounds of beer. I really wish they would invite neighbors and local island people to these "meetings" so we could discuss why they have let the tennis courts look like the dry courts of the Sundial and well as why, year in a year out we are promised new greens and better maintenance of the course. NOTHING happens ever, it just seems that the MAINTENANCE of the course fall behind more and more. What a shame! We love our island!! And what Sanibel has to offer! If more time and money was spent on MAINTENANCE and less time of beer drinking and supporting other clubs, I bet BeachView would improve

I am an occasional golfer, and I hadnt played at Sanibel Island Golf Club for a couple of years (back when it was Beachview Golf & Tennis Club). I visited the course a couple of times this fall, and was very, very pleased to see just what a great job the new owners have done to bring the newly re-named Sanibel Island Golf Club back to a high level of respectability. The course has a great layout, and its certainly challenging, but without the fear of every hole being a "water hole." The course has a nice variety of vistas, and seeing native vegetation and wildlife is an added bonus. Best of all, the new owners, Drew and Ed, take the level of service to an all-time high. They both have country club backgrounds, and they make even the casual golfer feel like they are playing at "the club." Well done, guys. Well done.

Called to enquire about playing and the rates. We are staying in a propery close to the 3rd hole and have not seen a lot of activity on the course player wise. Ask the price for 4 players and if there was any deals going as The Dunes is in a better condition and price. Told to go and play there then. Great service. Course is in poor condition when we walked a couple of hole a week prior. Very few players on the course. Would have thought they would have liked the buisness but apparently not. Was so looking forward to playing as we are visiting from the UK The first bit of bad service from such a lovely island. Not a good repercentation

Hahahahaha LOL! That is all I have to say about this place. Reading "Helmut" post is even more LAUGHABLE! Playing golf at another place is so much more enjoyable to me and playing tennis without the obvious sales pitch is so much better too. Helmut is attempting to buy tennis, of course he claims to have many friends Maybe selling tennis will help Golf? All I can do is laugh again, for who knows I will NOT rate this place, for I have NO rating to give, nor does it deserve a rating from me That is my opinion, I have none

Course is on its last legs. Has the look and feel of a poorly managed under capitalized operation. The online tee reservation system doesn't work. Many times they don't answer the phone if you want a tee time and they refer you back to the non working web site. The only benefit is its location for vacationers during Feb and Mar. Clubhouse restrooms are filthy and plumbing doesn't work. Gross. Its worth it to go to Ft Meyers and pay the $6 causeway fee to avoid.

Ed and Drew do every thing possible to make your golfing experience enjoyable. The course was neglected by the former owners and Ed and Drew are working 24/7 to get the course in great playable shape. There have been many improvements in the playability of the course and the effort continues. There is enough challenge to make the course interesting but very playable by us amateurs and hackers. Try it. You will have fun.

Being an experienced golfer that competes at all types of golf courses this track has a lot to offer. I believe it suits well for anyone, my reason is that it does have some difficulty to it, well placed shoots still might leave an intriguing shoot into the green. On the service side of the course the staff was very very kind. I would recommend this course to any level golfer for sure!

After reading the other reviews we were curious because this course was recommended by someone who golfed it in the past. We were pleasantly surprised to find the course under new management and according to local people much improved and getting better all the time. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed playing there twice. Congrats to the new owners for updating the course!

Nice course, challenging enough, but not to the point of being overly difficult. The wildlife we saw on the course was great. Egrets, Ospreys, a Blue heron, lots of Ibis in the morning and a sleepy alligator sunbathing on the bank of the river. The course is greatly improved in the past year and we will definitely be back.

"I am Helmut Peters and would like to set the record straight that the review dated February 20 2012 was NOT written by me. I am a long-standing member at Beachview Golf Club, live on the golf course and live in the estate. I enjoy playing my golf at Beachview, have many friends there, and play there on a regular basis."

What a fun course to play! I really like the layout of this course. Gives you plenty of chances to score if youre hitting the ball well. But dont be fooled, it still is plenty challenging. Service was top notch. Absolutely will play again!

This is a really nice course - challenging, well maintained, great service - but the price is way too high. Was $112/person when I played there Jan 2017, a doubling of the price over the previous year. I wont be back.

Not being a frequent golfer the people I encounter on the course contributes to my experience. They were all very cordial - thx. Everything was great the course, the setting, the staff and the equipment we rented.

Love the views and wildlife. The course is always in good condition. The staff has been great for the past few years. They really kicked it up a notch. They offer military discounts also .

Not in good condition, worn out, club house was a joke, dirty, bathroom was filthy, I could putt out of the sand traps. No driving range. I have nothing good to report about this place.

I love this course, not too hard but also give you a slight challenge, although there is no driving range, it is still a great course that I love to play whenever I come to visit

Very friendly staff but it is seriously over priced and under maintained. Lots of weeds and slow bumpy greens. I spprwciate natural but not unmaintained. 9 holes almost$80.

Great course and the staff was amazing. Our family was looking to play golf while we were vacationing on the island, and this course fit the bill. We had a great day!
