Every year we as a family meet at Suwannee to enjoy camping and concerts. This will be our last year going. The running of the park severely lacks any business sense. My husband asked the park office on Thursday if we could have people in the truck bed and he was told yes as long as they were sitting down and not acting stupid. We drove to the concert with no problem. Friday night we left from our campsite to the concert. We were pulled over by a deputy. He asked my husband if we had an air horn in the truck. We stated we did not. He asked if Sam(my husband) if he has been drinking. Sam said he had one beer earlier and proceeded to pull his ID out. The deputy said he did not need to see it. The deputy then told us to drive our truck back to the campsite, park it there, and walk to the concert. We asked the officer why and he said because they did not want a "truck this size driving down the road." Now, my husband has a large F350, but he also was not speeding, and was being very respectful to pedestrians. We told him we were just driving to park at the concert and then back to camp after it was done. The officer told us we could do it that one night and then not to drive again. We parked and my husband went to the park office to speak with them about this. They said that we would need to speak to the owner or the CEO of the park. They took our number down and said one of them would call us tomorrow. We waited and had not received a phone call by noon the next day so we drove to the park office again to see if they were available. They were not there so they called over someone who was in charge of security. The security officer told us that we were pulled over because we are not allowed to have people riding in the truck bed anymore, a rule they apparently changed on Monday. We told him that the deputy never said anything about people in the bed and only mentioned the size of his truck. He told us to talk to the deputies because they decide what to enforce. So we drove and found a deputy to speak to. The deputy said that the park tells them what rules they want enforced and they enforce it. No matter who we talked to all we got was people pointing fingers at other departments and giving us the run around. We WILL NOT be returning to a place where we pay to camp and go to concerts and then be told all these rules that were not laid out on the beginning.

We were on need of a place to camp for the night and found this place on line. The area was clean and the staff friendly. They have a pool and church services. There were lots of activities going on with shows you could pay additional fees to go to. Elvis had karaoke, and there was a Elvis impersonator competition that night. A kids music camp was being held so there were loads of children present. There is a cafe; full service restaurant, country store, craft village, Pickin Shed, game room. . . it goes on and on. Fishing to keep dad busy and music festivals throughout the year. They even have weddings! Areas for the horse crowd to camp, trails and a stables. You can even rent golf carts for trips around the park. Everyone is very friendly. The camp sites are stacked on top of each other and it is quite a walk to get rid of your trash. Tables in the camping area are first come and fires were built right on the ground with no clearly designed spot. With all the children it didnt seem the safest ideal. Im sure people were there more for the action and not for the ambiance. This not our kind of camping but aside from general confusion about where sites started and ended, everyone seemed happy.

Absolutely love this place and have been frequenting it for different events since 2004. This place always seems to amaze me with the new things they incorporate each year. It is a great park on its own without any event or music festival. There are cabins you can rent, tons of land to camp, good bathrooms placed around the grounds. You have the Suwannee River right there which can be fun in its own right as well- but be sure to check with the park on the status of the river- droughts or the opposite, gator season etc. Beautiful and in my opinion a magical place. The built in natural Ampitheter has AMAZING SOUND with lid off room to dance. There are also bleacher like stands of seats to sit on and its conveniently located under a ton of trees to offer shade as well as people filling up the space between the trees with their hammocks. Relaxed environment and there is also an indoor music area, a swimming pool, & they did have a petting zoo type setting with Alpacas and other various animals years ago... Im guessing they still do. If you have any questions call them, the people are friendly and will help you with anything you may need. If you are a camper this place is a MUST!

This evening I attempted to get my ticket and wristband, I was told previously my ticket would be held at will call, and nothing more, just to have my ID present. I provided a copy of my receipt as well. When she could not find the ticket, and I questioned the girl, she treated us like criminals and threatened to kick us out and call security! The employee told me it was "not her problem" that they did not have my ticket, also she "does not work there" and she "doesnt care". I paid for Wednesday night music and camping and I am missing out on the music and food, and do not have my band because of a rude employee and inefficient process at the gate, at no fault of mine. You and live nation need to get a together, thank you for a warm welcome wanee. This is my 10th time coming here, and have never had any problems. Mostly my issue is the way I was treated when I simply tried to reason with her very diplomatically. I work in hospitality for a living and, while this isnt a 5 star hotel, I still deserve respect. That was NOT shown to me this evening, what a terrible experience. Very disappointing Suwanee.

We all ride together from Perry, Fl to Enjoy Karaoke with Teddy the host is a fun person to be around. He loves music and people. He will sing happy birthday for you and announce great news. He sings great and when he sings it is time to hit the dance floor. Brian, will greet you at the door and then when he sings all ears and eyes are on him. He does sing better than Waylon. The food is always excellent and the waitress will never let you go thirsty. 120 miles and it is worth the trip. Come and see for yourself. If they put the tip jar on the stage near the dance floor we all can reach it better. Teddy keeps us all singing and he is just a great person always ready to help in anyway he can. He has a heart of gold and cares about his singers and their guest. This is one of the best places to go and meet wonderful people. Lots of things going on as well. The food is always good too.
