Having previously stayed at this hotel with a positive experience like many others who have reviewed this hotel, I was excited to come back. However, the second stay was so horrendous that not only will I look to other properties, I feel compelled to urge others to do the same. Something I do not take lightly as I do acknowledge that we are all humans, and people make mistakes. But the fact that the hotel was not willing to recognize their multiple errors and even offer a potential solution, but instead, retaliate when I escalated the concerns to the Diamond Desk and suggest that if we have complaints we should stay at other properties, we will do just that! New management is running this hotel to the ground and not in a good way! Some issues to highlight: 1) We had multiple rooms booked, and despite attempting to check in at 5 (having completed the mobile check in), not all the rooms were ready as promised. 2) When we got into one of the rooms which was not ready until after 6:30, it was not properly cleaned. When we attempted to move the night stand to plug in additional electronics, we found a used personal hygiene product. When we raised this to the front desk they said that the room had been properly cleaned and accused us of planting it there because we were upset about the delay in receiving our rooms. I can assure you we wouldnt do something like that. Since they were "sold out" they said that they couldnt switch our room. A call to the Diamond Desk, an hour later we were able to switch rooms. At least this one seemed to have been properly cleaned. 3) We had requested standard amenities, and only two rooms ever received them. When we called down an hour after requesting the amenities to notify them that they had not been delivered, they said that had been delivered, and we just never answered the door. Well, not having a DND sign on the door or having the dead bolt on, I asked if we didnt answer, why they didnt attempt to enter and leave them in the bathroom. I was then informed that that wasnt hotel policy. That seems fishy to me. However, we were able to go get our own amenities at the front desk. 4) There must have been a wedding party or some sort of party staying at the hotel who felt the need to scream up and down the coordinators at 1 am. Although I understand that the hotel cant prevent these things 100% of the time, the fact that they failed to send any associates up to ask these individuals to retire to their rooms instead of running up and down the hallways, we find unacceptable. This disrupted our enjoyment of a good night sleep. If all this wasnt enough, when we got home, we realized we were charged for an extra room! After doing some additional research, they charged us for one night in the unclean room! When we raised this to the hotel, they said that since we occupied the room, we had to pay for it. Thankfully, submitting all our reservation information to the credit card company, they were able to get that money refunded to us. Such a nightmare! Current management is not operating ethically. Please take your business somewhere else. We will!

I found this resort to be quite pricey, and not at all friendly. The meals in the hotel (none of which were included in the price of our room) were very expensive, the most reasonable option being $17/person for a breakfast buffet. As a family of 4, were looking at $80 for one meal, plus the price of the hotel. Parking is an extra $40/day, which is an amazingly high rate. WiFi is not, in fact, free unless you are a HHonors member (which we are, but theres the heads up). The extra costs are well beyond what I think they should be for an "all inclusive resort." Guest services were never overtly rude, but certainly lack the friendliness expected in a resort. Our bell hop on day 1, Mark, was very friendly and informative of what to do in the Ft. Lauderdale area, but every other staff member I encountered woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Housekeeping let themselves into my room at 9:15 at night for turn down service, waking my children up. She knocked once and did not give me the chance to get to the door to respond before she let herself in. When I asked why she was there (I didnt realize there was a turn down service in the evening), she explained it was to drop off fresh towels, etc. I asked her to come only in the mornings. She was very sharp in refusing my request to have it noted for me, insisting that I had to talk to the front desk. I do understand that I can also call the front desk, but she was very unpleasant, and I was already irritated that she woke my young children. When I called to find out what was going on, the front desk did not apologize for any inconvenience on my part. Again, they certainly do not have to apologize, but for me it is the little extra touches of hospitality and friendliness that can make the difference of a great vacation. PROS: The location of the hotel is prime, being on a quiet stretch in Ft. Lauderdale, and right on the beach. The room was clean and had a wonderful ocean view. The section of the beach that the hotel is situated on is directly across from turtle hatching areas, so the streetlights are out during turtle season (March-October, I believe), and there is opportunity to get lucky and see sea turtles during this period. There are shops, food, and entertainment within walking distance. OVERALL: If youre looking for a decent room right on the beach, this is a nice hotel. If hospitality, a nice vibe, and an all inclusive resort price is important to you, it may be worthwhile to go elsewhere. ***UPDATE: I wrote this review as I was at the resort. I called for a water issue today at 3:00 p.m. It wasnt a big issue, but something I figured the hotel would want to be made aware of. They said theyd send an engineer. The engineer finally showed up at 9:45 p.m. Again, kids were sleeping. Im not thrilled about the managements capabilities.

Atrocious experience (May 7th through the May 9th nightmare) 505 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 I was a Hilton fan until our recent visit to Fort Lauderdale. We were very displeased with the accommodations for the following reasons: • I reserved two king, two-bedroom ocean front view suite, however there was not much of a view (the view was of a dirt bowl). • The kitchen and the living areas were not clean. The bathrooms were dirty with mold around both bathtubs, and roaches crawled out of the kitchen drain into the sink. • Rooms were to be connected giving my daughters easy access to the kitchen and living areas however there was a lock on the connecting door. The hotel staff informed me that owner has the key (I was very surprised). I was also told that the rooms were condo’s and Hilton partners with the owners which defeated the purpose of having a two-bedroom suite. • The night manager was gracious enough to move us to another room but the view was worse. The living area was dirty and the shower in my room did not drain. Mark, the manager of housekeeping, assured me that someone would clean the area while we were out. That unfortunately did not happen. • On the second day, my daughters and I attempted to enjoy the beach but was informed by the beach attendant that we could not utilized the chairs or towels. We showed the young man the voucher we had received from the hotel but was told it was not valid. We went back to the hotel and I spoke to a young man at the front desk, only to be informed that if we were outside of Hilton beach boundaries, the resort vouchers could not be used. He offered no resolution. (Really, the beach is under the parks and recreation department not to mention it was too crowded on “Hilton’s beach front”). If Hilton is the actual gate keeper of the property a better job should be done with monitoring the frayed décor/furnishings. Overall, for the inconvenience, management only discounted one night’s stay (I expected more for $400 plus per night) . Because our mini vacation was ruined, the entire stay should have been discounted. Needless to say, we will never be back.
