Let me count the ways I LOVE Anacostia Park: 1) Its one of the best running trails in all of DC. It stretches for miles along the Anacostia River and the path is well kept for runners. 2) Theres a lot of green space to picnic and enjoy nature. 3) There are hidden gems throughout from murals under highways and even a famous skating ring. 4) Its great for kids. One of DCs best playgrounds complete with a pirate ship is in the park. I could go on and on so instead how about you head on over to Anacostia Park and check it out for yourself. Its a GREAT spot!

If looking for a typical NPS Visitor Center, there isnt one. The park does have Aquatic Gardens, a Marsh, Pavilion, Urban Tree House, Aquatic Ed & Rec Centers, Golf Course, Marinas, Boat Ramp & Picnicing. Youll also find the NPS NACE HQ at 1900, its in the one story building behind the US Park Police HQ building and the entrance door is around the corner & on what at first seems like the backside of the building. They are very nice and can give you info, etc., but its just offices. Dont expect displays or any activities immediately inside or outside.

Its a really park. Great walking trails along the river. My main concern is the amount of trash strewn around. If theres a riverbank clean up program Im up for it. No one should have to see so much litter at a National park especially in the nations capital.

Love this park I go here 4 times a year to do "girls in the run" with my daughters. Park is usually patrolled by park police. Beautiful views. Great running and bike path. Wished I lived a little closer I would definitely go a lot more.

Park. Playground. Areas for meetings and family reunions. Fishing. Jogging and walking on sidewalk or paths. Outdoor swimming pool. **Unfortunately no bus service in walking distance, for those with mobility issues.

An important part of DC history. It is getting a big makeover this year. The guys at the US Parks police are the most Pleasant service-oriented police force you are ever going to see.

Nice place to chill in DC. Lots of new building. Parking can be difficult. Nice walking/bicycling paths along the river. Would not recommend swimming. Many eateries nearby.

I always enjoy walking and running at Anacostia Park. Its always so peaceful and nearly all the other people who are walking and/or running are always very friendly.

Its all about the river, the rest of the park could use a major renovation. The should be a venue for live outdoor entertainment,and a restaurant on the water.

Good park for jogging and nice green spaces for other outdoor activities like flag football and soccer. The skating rink is a hidden gem during the summer.

Kind of an industrial area. The part I was in was just a grassy field. However the bike path and running trail is nice and runs along the river.

Nice paved bike/running path. Its about 3 or 4 miles long, but if you cross over the bridge you can get in over 10 miles on the trail.
