There were 3 Different Golf Courses to choose from: 1) The Kodiak, 2) The Black Bear and 3) The Grizzly * Nice clubhouse, golf pro instructors, driving range that includes pitching and putting areas * BEST TIP is the "TWILIGHT RATE": Offers approx. 33%- 50% discount on rates if you tee off within approx. 4.5 hours of sunset (call pro shop ahead of time for details). * Open all year (weather permitting) * Designed by Rick Jacobsen (same person who designed many Jack Nicklaus courses) * Winner of several awards including: Best in Delaware , One of Americas Best by Golf Magazine * Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club is open to the public year round but you can also become a member to receive preferential tee times and flat yearly fees. BEAR TRAP DUNES RESORT: Our family loved spending a week at The Village at Bear Trap Dunes Resort last Summer. This is a family oriented resort located in Ocean View, DE and built along side the Bear Trap Dunes golf courses. Great place to spend a family vacation and there are many vacation rental homes available at reasonable prices. The restaurant offers fine dining all year round with scenic views of the fairways and a very short walk from the rental home that we were staying in. * Banquet and catering facilities also available. - Now under new ownership by the DiFebo family! * I love what theyve done to the restaurant - the food and atmosphere are much better compared to when the restaurant was under previous management and used to be called "the Den"

Played here last year in July. I think the layout of the clubhouse and golf course is a bit off. Upon arrival you feel like you are pulling into a residential shopping area, instead of a golf course. You also dont get great views of the course from the clubhouse. Other than that the clubhouse and staff were great on my visit. Overall the course was in very good shape, considering the time of year. July can be tough on turf in the Mid Atlantic. Some of the bunkers were in need of repair, most likely due to cheap construction and not poor maintenance. The course was fun to play, if a bit boring. Im not a huge fan of golf in residential areas. Overall it was a good day. Solid golf on Delmarva.

My low rating is based on how I was treated vs. wet, spongy course itself. Called twice - spoke to two people. Specifically asked if it was cart path only, both people said No - carts were allowed. Only after I paid, they told me it was cart path only. We also played late in the afternoon, hardly anyone else on the course but they managed to pair us up with the only people on the entire course - no one in the front, no one in the back..4 people on empty course can be slower than two sets of two people. We paid for 18 but only played 9. Mosquitos were unbearable. I would give zero stars if I could.

Overall it was a good experience. The course is very well maintained, despite the fact it rained 2-3 inches in the prior 48 hours, so there was nothing that could be done about the bunkers being filled with water. This course is great for people who dont the hit the ball far off the tees. Greens, fairways and teeboxes were excellent. The course is solid, not spectacular, average value considering all the courses in the area.

Booked party of four at regular rate. When arrived today and presented Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce VISITOR GUIDE coupon, ladies did not honor. They said the published afternoon rate was a special rate and exempt from offer. As a 25 year rental visitor of BETHANY, a repeat golfer and renter of Bear Trap Dunes will not return to play or rent. Beware of this scam.

A delightful golfing experience. I played there on August 28th. I played Kodiak and Black Bear. The course is in immaculate condition. The holes were well defined and good shots were rewarded and bad ones were punished, the way golf should be. The staff were first rate and the practice facility top notch. For anyone visiting the Bethany Beach area, highly recommend.

Nice course in good condition. A little repetitive but the 27 holes allow you some variation and lots of room to breathe. A Fair course and good bargain. I recommend to everyone.
