An out-of-towner, only in town for a racing weekend nearby, I went to The Stomping Ground on Friday night for the first time. What a great place. The atmosphere is very cool. They bring in great bands. And the food...Wow! I had the "Arturo Dandoval" sandwich and it was unreal with flavor. It was so good, Saturday night we rounded up a few more and went back. Saturday I went with the "Big Papi" burrito and it was awesome. Throw in a few craft brews from the tap...this place has it all. At just over an hour away from home, I will be going back to The Stomping Ground. It is worth the drive out for a delicious dinner and some great tunes. Try it for yourself. You will be glad you did!

A friend and I decided to try out the Stomping Ground on a Saturday night. I was pleased to see their menu offered locally grown and raised selections. Appetizer was delich! And our entrees were both displayed well and exciting on the pallet!! Service was attentive and pleasant. Live performance was very entertaining. Seating was a little short and there was only one restroom but I was able to enjoy the art displayed while I waited. All and all~ good vibes and groovy place~ I would definitely recommend this local spot

This place was awful! If I could go below one I would. The food was terrible. One bathroom for all which resulted in having to stand in a long line behind rude and angry customers. The waitress was no where to be found .Drinks were way over priced. The only thing I would recommend about this place would be to walk by it as you go somewhere else.

The place was very artsy, and the beer and music was good. However, theres not much space, and the food wasnt anything impressive. If you have any kind of dairy issue I probably wouldnt recommend looking here for food because there was only one menu item without dairy. Overall its a good place for music beer and atmosphere, eat before you go.

The food is good and portions are generous...but it can be a bit "heavy". A variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, pot pies and daily specials. The atmosphere is most interesting. Dont be put off by it. Looks like a "biker bar" but this is a great spot for lunch ( we are retired). Staff is super friendly and welcoming!

The stomping ground is a great place for live music and good beer but not the best place for lunch. The sandwiches were tasty but the meal wasnt very filling for the pricetag. There isnt much space here and the seating can be kind of awkward and cramped. Ill come back here for the music and beer but thats it

Local watering hole. This is where you should go if youre in town. Strangely enough, I had an extra $3 on my bill. Not sure if its because I shared a plate with someone or walked in with a local coffee. Also, they desperately need to hire people for the weekend. I wouldnt come here if I was already hungry.

Food was good, staff was attentive and friendly. Manager checked in as well. Definitely a good experience. Got the check and it seemed steep for what we got though. Again, quality was fine, but definitely overpriced - at least for what we ordered, maybe there are better values on the menu.

The live music was nice while it lasted, the bar tenders were welcoming and you can feel the spirit of the people inside. Somewhat crowded, it is a good place to be in for all ages 21 and up, the drink menu is good and they have fresh juiced cocktails that are tasty and not over powering.

The place is good in all. But WAY to small. There is no room to stand or even sit. The band location is NOT good. If people want to dance there is no room. There isnt much of a drink menu. If you want to get there and have a drink and enjoy your time there you have to arrive super early.

The Stomping Ground is a really cool Pub. A nice bar menu plus. Even though Im here to perform with TAS CRU & THE TORTURED SOULS, I see they have a steady musical events calendar. With some top ARTIST rolling thru. Very nice staff & THE owner is a great guy.

My band played here a few days ago and my mind was blown by how sweet the owners are and how wonderful the group of people chilling were We got to experience the first wedding there and the vibes couldnt be better. Oh!!! The good is incredible!

An ever-changing, impressive list of craft beers, many of which are from local breweries. Despite the tiny kitchen and pub-grub-looking selection, the food here is excellent, particularly the various styles of grilled cheese.

My favorite place for a quik pint and bite. Trivia on Wednesday is the best time to go. Jeff and Bud really make the atomsphere welcoming and fun. Make sure you try the T&S Burrito and the Eggplant Jalpeno.

This is a cozy place with great food to go along with the arty/funky decor. Also, for a place this size, there is a wonderful selection of music rolling through the stage.

This is my favorite hidden gem in Connecticut. The menu puts a new spin on burritos, grilled cheese, and pot pies. Highly recommend the Arturo Sandoval with a draft beer.

The stomping ground is a great place to catch live music and there is plenty of parking within a safe walking distance ~ Glen Peladeau @ Eccentric Musician Co.

Live music is entertaining. Ambiance is cool. More food selection would be nice, but it is decent given the small space. I will definitely return.
