Horseshoe Park is clean and well maintained. The two baseball diamonds are in good shape with nearby parking and a playground. The grassy areas are expansive and offer space for relaxing, playing with the dogs, or holding a picnic. Horseshoe is connected to the Tollgate Creek Trail and the Cherry Creek Spillway Trail and is commonly frequented by cyclists, dog walkers, and others just out for a relaxing evening walk. Its proximity to the lowlaying wetlands also means exposure to some wildlife. There is a unisex public restroom and water fountain adjacent the parking lot.

Aurora Today

Huge open park, with 2 baseball fields, a playground, open areas and prairie dog hills. If youre a biker, it connects with quite a few trail systems (Highline Canal, Powerline Train, Cherry Creek Spillway & more) and leads to Treadz, Peak 2 Peak Taphouse, and more. Lots of wildlife in the bushes. Birdhouses all over, and hawks constantly circling. Fox, coyotes, raccoons and even beavers and the occasional deer. Walk with caution near dusk. Good for bird watching. Accessible from Iliff or north on Mexico.

This is a great place for a long walk. It connects with area bike paths that go north and south and east and west. That means one can go in a loop without seeing the same view. It is clean and a little wild but in the city it is hard to find adventurous places like this. If going at night make sure to bring flashlight because I had to scare away away a coyote with mine. Or dont walk at night. But again this place is safe and fun turning day.

Nice open space, neighborhood park with 2 ballfields and a playground. If youre lucky you might see a deer. Ive seen some coyotes in the field, but they keep their distance from me and my dog. The area was frequented by Native Americans in the past. The City of Aurora keeps the park clean and the walks clear of snow in the winter. One of the best things about living in Aurora.

Dog friendly, a little hidden park, very lovely scenery, nice fields, walk around the park and back is easy and paved all the way! Play kickball there sometimes, Super Fun!

Not a good family environment, its more of a hangout for pot heads. Graffiti filled playground.

Great park. Well maintained. Well patrolled, except at night. A lot of illegal activity.

Should be called dog poop park. Seems many dog owners dont pick up after their pets.
