I absolutely love Centennial Park! 1. An Overview There are multiple play areas. Some are separated by a large step, and some are farther apart because there is some grassy area in between them. There are 3 main play areas, and then a few smaller ones. The smaller ones include two playgrounds for younger children (2-5), 3 sand areas, and 2 rock climbing walls. The main areas are a Splash Park (by Vortex) which is so fun and awesome! The water is chlorinated. The two other main areas are on woodchips and are made for older kids (5+). One has a 3-story treehouse and a big climbing net (by Corocord). The other main woodchip area has 4 big rocks that have hiding spots and are made to be climbed on, that are connected by tight ropes. This area also has a slide built into the side of a hill with multiple climbing walls with a range of difficulties to get up to the slide. Each area is fairly close together, but are separated into different areas to make the park seem more organized and less hectic with the number of kids running around. 2. Accessibility Every play area is wheelchair accessible. Sometimes it is a bit of a circuitous route as the play areas are sometimes separated by large steps. The water area is completely wheelchair accessible as long as you dont mind your wheelchair getting soaked. There are 2 big circular swings that are essentially equivalent to platform swings that would work for an individual that cannot sit up on their own. There are a few other pieces of equipment that are handicapped accessible. 3. Main appeal I love how many fun, challenging things there are to do at this park. The park is great for kids of all developmental abilities. There are fun things to do for younger kids, and it certainly offers a challenge at each stage. The climbing net is great! There are also things to stimulate nearly every sense. There are things that spin, bounce, and swing. Things to climb and jump from. Water and musical instruments. It is a great sensory experience. It encourages children to take risks, try new things, work on developmental milestones while having lots of fun! 4. Sensory Issues The park is frequently crowded. The Splash Park area might be tactile torture for some kids too. 5. For Parents There is plenty of shade and picnic tables. There are also rocks strategically placed around the park underneath trees to allow for places to sit in every play area. There are bathrooms (with a changing table) and a water fountain. Overall, this park is awesome! If your child has sensory issues though you should try to go on an off day. Definitely my favorite park.

Amazing park and splash pad, we went just based off reviews and everyone is right. This park is huge, dont be fooled by pictures that make it look over crowded. There are so many different things to do that even if its packed its not really that bad. We got there around 10 and it wasnt very busy, at like 10:30 there were 4 buses that pulled up and kids poured out, I was like omg my little ones are going to be runover. But it wasnt bad at all. The kids had an amazing time and already want to go back, definitely worth it and its free!! This park has everything, big playground, little playground, sand, swings, water, shaded picnic areas, clean bathrooms, etc.

This is a wonderful park to bring your kids! The splash pad is something that not all parks have and this one is large and very well designed. The park also has different play areas for different ages, a sand box, large saucer swings, lookout tower with slides, rock climbing wall, steps for cardio, and lots of picnic tables. There are also bathrooms and drinking fountains. You can also rent one of several covered areas for parties. The facilities are well maintained. This place is worth a short drive if you dont live in the neighborhood. Pack a lunch and enjoy some quality family time.

A great place for kids and teens of all ages. The kids enjoy splashing around in water features. Theres different play areas away from water with slides, jungle gyms and swings. Picnic area. Some seating in play area, could have more. Not a lot of shade. There is a theater there with advertising for upcoming shows. Wheelchair access, hilly, parking at top of big hill. Parking on street has stairs access to park. Pretty park, clean and kept nicely. Bathrooms and drinking fountain.

Be sure to bring a change of clothes if your kids arent in swim wear. The splash pad is too fun looking to resist. The playground is large, with lots of different age and ability levels. Visibility can be very limited however, making it difficult to watch your kids play if they are at different levels. Overall good experience however, children at the park all seemed to play well with others and where aware of children smaller than them.

Lovely park, great for kids. No pool or lifeguards, but water sculptures and features for kids to play on and around. Also sandbox, play area with climbing wall, slide, and other objects to climb on and play, covered pavilion, grassy areas, picnic tables, drinking fountains, restrooms, parking lot. Warning: When crowded on very hot days its difficult to keep track of little ones.

This is the best park me and my family has ever gone to! There is a climbing wall, a tree house a rope jungle gym, historical facts around the park about Colorado for learning, a sand pit, concert amphitheater, tons of free concerts and events activities, a splash zone for water fun...i could go on but seriously... just go visit. You wont be disappointed!

One of the best playgrounds Ive been to. It was busy but there was plenty of space. Lots of nearby parking. The water park portion of the playground Id fantastic. Theres also a rock climbing hill that I thought was pretty unique. They have a big map of Colorado on one of the walls at the back of the playground that was also cool for the kids to check out.

Only 4 stars due to the lack if shade. Its a relatively new park and the trees will grow in someday. This is one of the best parks in all of Denver. There is a splash pad, amphitheater, a massive jungle gym area, picnic areas, and a secondary event space. If you cant have fun here then Im not sure where you can.

This park is absolutely beautiful, I could literally spend all day here. There are so many things to do. There are pavilions with bbq grills, a huge playground with a water play area. Theres lots of grass to relax on & just enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely recommend this park, for anyone & everyone!

How can you give this place less than 5 stars. We came here from VA with 20, 14 and 9 year old and everyone enjoyed climbing walls, polls and rope structure. Lots of smaller kids enjoyed water fountains which are apparently working only in summer. Even allow dogs unlike our cookie cutter VA playgrounds.

In yet another case of "how did I know it was here?" - this is a great park with a beautiful design, picnic tables/shelters, and large open space where they do concerts and a laser show now and then. Parking also didnt seem to be a problem. Definitely highly recommend for some family outdoor time.
