Pretty awesome club. I was visiting the city and found out that a DJ that I really wanted to see was performing that night. I bought the tickets online and showed up to the venue. We got through the line pretty fast. This place has an amazing atmosphere. The energy is perfect for a club. The DJ booth is low, so you are almost at the same level as the DJ. There is a VIP section behind the DJ booth, so the DJ is surrounded by people. Its a very intimate experience. The sound system was pretty good. Dont forget to bring your earplugs. As far as alcohol, its just like any other club. I didnt try anything specific

They bring great talent, top name DJs, and prices are reasonable! A Lagunitas IPA was $6, which is expected and not too pricey. My only complaint is the pillars that are in the middle of the dance floor. It makes it feel tighter and smaller than the club already is (its quite a small club already). Its also in the way of viewing the stage, too. Im sure they cant just get rid of the pillars, but still a bit annoying!

Verso is a top rate nightclub with a solid sound system. I saw Adam K and Soha one evening and Eelke Kleijn another night and both put on fantastic shows. One thing Id recommend is to take a picture of your coat check ticket so that in case you lose it you can still get your coat back. I highly recommend going on Friday nights, however, because the crowd seems a bit less reserved and more interesting.

Industrial-chic interior with more emphasis on the bar than the stage. The DJ booth is awkwardly located between a giant X beam but the sound system is pretty good. The (empty) VIP lounges make it seem like Verso was designed for the LA populous. I found out about Verso through Resident Advisor. Overall, its a good time if you go see an act you like.

Premium drinks are EXPENSIVE however the well drinks are damn decent and affordable. Usually a more mature crowd in a comfortable setting. Way too much space in the club is given over to tables, however.

Double scam! Entrance was supposed to be fee with online tickets. Turned out 15$ for no reason. Then they gave us drink coupons, we went straight to the bar and the bartender told us they were expired.

Music system can be felt in buildings next door. In fact even buildings across the street find reasons to resent verso – which makes it one of the chic locations in town
