This museum is a bit small but loaded with knowledge and artifacts! They even have some hands-on experiences. My 3-yr-old was intrigued. (Its free for 5 and under.) I was surprised to find a beautiful pond/small lake outside being that this place it right in downtown. Ask them about their 500-yr-old oak tree too.

I like this one because its right next to my favorite historical park Sutters Fort. But I do think they should let you take photos because I went there and they would not let me take photos because of the flash!?

Really wish they would do what most other museums know to do. They failed to give historical age of the displayed objects. They failed to make it clear which items were okay to touch. Otherwise enjoyable

Great museum with many interesting Native Californian exhibits including artwork, pictures of local Native Americans, amazing stories, and even a dugout canoe!

Emotional ride through this little gem. Its small, but if you take your time an absorb it all.. theres a slew of information. I highly recommend this place.

Located in midtown Sacramento at the Sutters Fort State Park, a great collection of Native American culture in California.
