I absolutely love the nature center in Carmichael along the Sacramento River! The place has always had a fond place in my heart, its shared itself with former love interests making for enjoyable times. Its also seen me hiking solo through the preserve whenever I need to collect my thoughts and perhaps cool my jets by going all zen with mother nature! The grounds are well kept, clean, plenty of parking, helpful staff and plenty of drinking fountains for those hot summer days!
Spring is the best time to go here when everything is green and the deer are out. But every time I go here I see different birds, Turkey, frogs in the pond, and different insects if youre looking for them. Awesome place to come to enjoy nature nature. Definitely my favorite place in Sacramento. Easy access to the river to see lots of salmon during the season. No dogs allowed.
Peaceful nature preserve and learning center, includes Maidu Village, trails through the preserve, down to the American River. Center showcases live raptors and reptiles, plus hosts educational programs for kids and adults.
Highly under-appreciated riparian habitat within Ancil Hoffman Park. Docent led tours are available. Allow more time to visit than you would expect. Great for inquisitive kids of all ages.
I have been going there since I was a small child, I grew up in carmichael and the park has always been a place of fond memories, the sound of all the birds. l will always remember
Great place for kids! They have several loop trails and an interpretative area staffed with knowledgeable volunteers. They also offer many events and camps for the kids.
I volunteer here doing habitat restoration. Its a great place to take kids to teach them about nature and the native people who used to live there.
This park was such a surprise it is such a great space to go to...large spacious grass areas and a nature center along with trails
A peaceful respite from the noise of the city. Good little nature center with lots of great trails for hiking and running.
amazing!! loved it. Saw a bunch of acorn woodpeckers and more. I could spend all day here, enjoying Gods beauty :)
I enjoyed the park very much. The employees were very informative and friendly. It was clean and very tranquil.
Interesting and educational. Beautiful spot along the American River. If you have children, take them to EYNC.
Awesome place. Great center, great staff, and cool stuff for the whole family on Saturdays and Sundays.
Ive been going there since high school. It was beautiful then & its beautiful now. Love it <3
Favorite place in Sac to jog. There is a fantastic 4 mile loop with a view of the river.
Really great place to take kids. A wonderful place to introduce children to nature.
Nice relaxing place to escape from the daily grind and relax for a few minutes.
Nothing like outdoors! And an inside nature center for the kids to check out.
Beautiful area, educational for the kids, good place to find Pokemon.
Lots of geographic and cultural history out here! Watch for snakes :)
Must Visit and worth supporting their efforts..... Thank you guys!
Beautiful, always see deers. Great after this rainy season.
The best nature hideout near downtown and in Sacramento.
Loved the hike and the nature center was very helpful.
