This place has fantastic art, wonderful people, and regularly has live model drawings. The prices are reasonable and the models are some fun and friendly people. Just to top it all off, they have beer and wine. Theres a number of reasons to come by and, other then the universally constant hunt in San Mateo for parking, not a lot of reasons not to.

Neologian is a fantastic gallery and drawing workshop space! The model on the night I went was great, and the lighting was also arranged well (which no other affordable open model session bothers to do). All of the models and staff there are wonderful and fun people, and its a very welcoming environment.

Neologian Art Gallery is not just a gallery selling art. It also features events, including figure drawing sessions twice a week. It is a focal point for the visual arts in San Mateo.

I really enjoyed figure drawing here. Its a cozy space and the artists here are very friendly and welcoming!
