Patrick was not only helpful but enthusiastic about helping us get two very large original paintings framed and is obviously a very hard worker, let alone the fact that we left the paintings to be framed at his discretion and they turned out fantastic! No really, absolutely beautiful work. Im an intern at the Sierra Club SF Bay chapter located in Berkeley and was hunting around looking for framing shops who might help us by donating some framework for a silent auction, for which 100% of the proceeds were for the Sierra Club of course. Patrick was the fourth person that Id contacted and against all odds he was very willing to help us out. Id had two previous shops basically lecture me on how expensive and unlikely it would be that someone would donate their time and resources for such large paintings, but Mr. Nielsen was ready and willing to do the work and was very professional about it. Id support his business any time over corporate framing companies given how realistic and personal he was about the job he took on. He was not out for a buck and like I said the work was fantastically crafted! Much appreciated, thank you Patrick!

I came to Nielsen Arts because I was working on a complicated project that involved a frame. Patrick, the owner of Nielsen Arts, quoted me the most inexpensive price and due to my limited budget, I arrived at Nielsen Arts with drawings and an idea of what I wanted. Not only did Patrick help me build a frame that was the perfect solution to the project I was working on, he offered to stay late the night before his vacation if necessary to finish up the frame. When it turned out the framing style I wanted was no longer available, he built me the perfect frame right then and there with pieces he had on site. Thanks to Patrick, my project came out perfectly, approximately on budget and on time since he helped me right then and there. His solution to what I was working on worked amazingly well. He even carried the frame to my car when I was done. I couldnt be happier with the end result, the cost, or the amazing customer service.

Its pretty common that I come in with an idea of what I want, and they suggest a tweak that makes it better. Theyre also real gents and always help me to/from my car. Highly recommended.
