First, I have played a number of the top 20 golf courses in America, including Pine Valley which is generally number 1. I have to say, as much as I love the highly ranked courses across America; and love the Monterey/Carmel peninsula, I personally feel that walking this course is one of the greatest experiences I have had in golf. Its not just playing this course, but taking what the course architect did with the land. I have played it a couple of times and although I am a scratch golfer, my score didnt matter. I lived the moment of each shot and walking to the next.

Was fortunate to stay with 3 friends/w spouses in a private residence at Cypress Point overlooking the second fairway and then get to play the course. What an experience - most enjoyable round ever. Beautiful vistas, spectacular views and wonderful caddys who make the round even more enjoyable. The condition of the course - pristine - few to no divots anywhere.

Not being a member or having ever played the course I cant speak to how the course plays. I can say I have spent hours taking photos around and near the course and can say there is no golf course in the country that compares for vistas and geography. The course invites wildlife and takes great care of the gigantic cypress trees that dominate the property.

Just stunning. Beautiful views, great people and a joy of a golf course. Complex but attainable - defending on the wind! The 16th has to be one of the most fun golf holes anywhere in the world.

Spectacular golf course that Ive played a dozen times and every time its a new and wonderful experience. Ive played many great courses, but none can match the beauty and serenity.

Very nice place with good weather and lots of tourists, however finding parking maybe tough. Once you park you can go down to the water at some places and take great pictures.

I have not visited the golf course itself, but ocean view point near it. And it was amazing. Worth too see if you visit California and especially Monterey area.

We did the 17 mile Dr during our trip to Monterey/Pacific Grove and it was the best part of the trip. You cant miss this if you come here!
