I play this course a lot, and it is a fun course to play and a very good value. The course itself is run on a shoe string budget, and the condition is poor. But the layout is one of the best around, and it is like playing at a state park. It is secluded and you dont hear road traffic, or see any outside around. You will get to see deer and about any other animal that lives in the East Bay Regional Parklands. You cant really play it during the winter because it doesnt drain and gets very muddy. Some people may not like the fact that the creek comes into play along the front 9, which can make it intimidating if you having trouble with ball contact. If you are hitting your shots, this course can really easy (as easy as golf can get), but if your swing is off it can be difficult. This is very good golf course to play in the afternoons, since it doesnt get as much play at that time. Because of the creek and tightness, it can get slow. Unless you have a medical issue that prevents you from walking, this is a very walkable course and is best enjoyed on foot.

Service: Whoever owns this place is very greedy. I signed up on Golfnow and drove 1 hour to get here only to find out that they didnt want to have the carts driving around due to the muddy grass. My only two options were deal with it and walk or leave and good luck to you in getting a refund from golfnow. If I had known there wouldnt be a cart included I would have stayed closer to home and never played this course. Pure greed on the part of the owner. The Course: horrible. You will lose many balls on this course since there are a million leaves on the course that management doesnt bother cleaning up. Each leaf will look just like your golf ball. Greens were horrible, the fairways are basically like the rough of a decent course. I didnt replace my divots and left food on the ground. If they dont care about their course why should we?

I have played Willow Park for about 2 years. Yes, it is costly (with awful carts that require constant pulls of the choke) but, because of the price probably, the course is not that crowded so I stuck with it. But the poor maintenance and attention to quality finally got to me! Apparently, a car window was broken and the shards of the glass remained in the parking lot, not swept up for over a week! During a recent round, the broken glass was called to the attention of the owner and the pro shop staff. 5 hours later, the glass remained. That tells you the level of interest and commitment to quality. The owner is an old man who apparently likes to rake in the $$$ but not provide even the most basic maintenance and service.

Always polite and helpful in getting you out on-time. Plenty of close parking, and a fun course to play. This is a great way to spend the day with friends and family. My nephew played his first game there just two weeks ago, and on the first tee, he hit straight away about 175 yards; an exciting way to start, and finished up pretty good. Then on the 3rd hole, from the tee right on to the green, and a two put for his first par. We are going back today. This is a course you will enjoy too!

This is a 3 to maybe 3.5 star facility. Driving range is into a reservoir with limited flight balls but unique to local area. Course conditions are OK, but buccolic as it winds through the forest with towering redwoods, deer and some elevation change. Dont play after rain as it is a poor drainer. I think the new management has improved the place but could be better.

Have not played the course in some time but much improved from a year ago. While it is still recovering from last winters rains / floods, the greens are in good condition and most of the fairways are fine. Enjoyed my round and will return. Great place to play, especially when the wind is blowing or it is hot as the canyon offer a degree of shelter.

This place is run by nice people, but the golf course itself needs some maintenance. No flat tee boxes. The greens have not been mowed in a while. You cannot tell the where the fairway ends and the rough starts.

Organized, cleaner than before when it was Willow Park. Before was very horrible but the new owner made this place WAY better. I would recommend to come here. Challenging!!! Still Fun!

The new owner/operator has greatly improved the golf course from what it was last summer. The course is in much better condition. Great value for the money.
