Sequoyah is a great old course that turns 100 years old in 2013. At 6100 yards it may appear short on the card, but the elevation changes make this course play much longer, justifying the 134 slope. The tree-lined fairways puts a premium on drives and the smallish quick greens demand a steady putter. Also, the greatest weather in the bay area. Grand clubhouse with pool and tennis courts can make this a family event. (Note, we are members of Sequoyah for nearly 10 years and couldnt be happier.)

This is a hidden gem and challenging course, not just in the fairways but also on the greens, but also fair and fun. Quiet with lovely views of the bay from several holes and nestled within a lovely canyon area. Food at the turn is terrific, but no food carts around the course. Great practice area for your short game and driving range is more for warming up than getting lots of big hits.

I visited as a guest and enjoyed the driving range, some putting, lunch by the pool and of course swimming! Everything was in top condition. The service was fantastic! The pool sparkling! And how someone can turn a sandwich into a culinary delight is sheer magic!

Very good food for a surprisingly lowish price. There is a dress code but it doesnt really seem to be enforced. If youre there for lunch do yourself a favor and try their sweet potato puffs theyre amazing.
