Long story short, DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Rented this space for an event and have never been so disrespected and mistreated ever. There were a few miscommunications on both ends, which is normal and business. However, situations that couldve easily been worked out was met with blatant disrespect by the owner. She walked away during talking, refused to make eye contact, and even threatened to shut down the event as we were setting up. Lets not forget she allowed her prior event to take their time with cleaning up and they didnt breakdown at all (we did), despite the fact we paid to start setup at 6pm and they didnt leave until nearly 7pm. She even was so rude at the end of the night to take tables and chairs away from attendees as they were sitting talking, participating in speed introductions. Just rude! She ended the event at 10pm exactly totally ignoring thevdact we didnt get the hour to setup because she allowed the other group to stay during our hour. The band had to wait on the sidewalk because she wouldnt let them in to setup! I came from Atlanta to host an event here and was met with nothing but disrespect smh

Joyce is lovely, personable, and here for the culture. The gallery taught me things I never knew about Af - Am fine arts! Definitely will swing through again next time Im on the west coast.
