Reviewed by: blue_crush, santa cruz, ca. played on 4/25/08 called the pro shop, 2:30 on a Fri, Terry the starter said is wide open... got there before 3 and this course got a huge face lift 7yrs ago... and the layout is basically the same, but has better rough now and greens. theres a great practice area and driving range there, with 2 huge putting areas. the club house is huge with banquets up to 200+. The course was in awsome condition and the greens were fast and still a touch firm as they were sanded 3wks ago. as I played the course, I just couldnt help remembering what it use to look like and how its change for the better. the pace of play was really fast, just over 3hrs, and while the valley was windy as hell, this course had but a breeze. the twilight rate was really great too, like 26.00 and only 23.00 after 5pm up there. heres another thing that was just awsome, its in a little valley up there, and theres a park on 2 sides and horse ranch on the other side, ITS QUITE.... no city noise, just wild turkeys gobbling.... the course is fairly wide open and had a good challenge for your game, as it not only lets you rip it, but pays to have good course mgmt too. overall I give this course 4 out of 5 stars. its not pebble, but its a great place to play golf and enjoy the hills, peace and quite... smilin steve......

Great atmosphere and setting up in the hills. The course layout is simple at times but the greens are challenging and there are some legitimately tough holes on the back 9. Price range is similar to what youd see at most of the public courses around. If you get there before most of the traffic the greens role very true and the rest of the course is great for a public course and especially considering the water restrictions they face. Staff is friendly and productive as well.

I love this golf course, they are such nice people there. The course is awesome, its got some interesting hole placements. #2 has two different greens, one that is up, and one that is down the hill. The down the hill placement is awesome, such a challenging hole psychologically! I just love this course, cant play it enough. Also make sure you get there for breakfast, their french toast is amazing!

I dont know what kind of a day the reviewer had to say the staff was rude, but I can tell you that I have been playing here for years and the staff is always professional and personable. I have never been told to "hurry up and check in", probably because I get there ON TIME! This is a great course and is in superb shape.

Fun fair layout with balance of tougher green when hole shorter. Away from busy streets and homes or cell coverage (for the most part) feels like a great away. Privately-owned and a great staff that shows. Good food and bar. Frequent player in options excellent. Love this place.

Course is in great condition. Greens were a bit slow and spongy. Fairways were in good condition but were very hard and firm (makes for great roll outs). Overall great course for the price. Also note that you are up in the hills and cell phone coverage will be very weak the course.

The package they offer for 169 had lot of things most people never use such as range balls, lunch, ncga membership. Very expensive cart makes 2 for 1 more expensive than a golfnow deal. Members get just 30min ahead of others. 4somes were packed less than 10 minutes apart on weekends.

The pro shop staff is extremely unfriendly. Every time you check in they tell you that youve checked in late and need to hurry. Never a smile on their face. Hardly an ideal way to start play on this otherwise beautiful course. They need a makeover of the front office staff.

I play there quiet often and I do agree with other reviews that the staff is very unfriendly in the office. It starts from the John. Marshall stop by to check my Dr. partners ball that if he is playing with the Range Ball.

Great course, friendly staff. The greens are fast and tricky. A member told me everything breaks towards town. My wifes boss recommended the course, I also recommend.

Fun course. Good shape. They do make you bring back the carts too early though which meant we couldnt play the last few holes.

Short, plain course (Blue 6150 yard, 70 par) and a little bit expensive but its close to South Bay area.

Its a short course at par 71. The greens are a bit slow but it is a well maintained place.
