This course is in the worst shape of any course I have ever played. There is no way this course will survive in these conditions. Not one drop of rain in the last month and there is standing water in the bunkers at 3pm. There are also no rakes for the bunkers. The fairways are essentially mud and cart tracks. The few areas of fairway that arent mud are patchy grass and dirt. The balls actually bounce all the way to the hole when putting. The houses are abandoned and those with residents allow their dogs to wander the fairways. All of the water features look like swamps more than scenic lakes/ponds. The tee boxes are hard pan dirt and not even close to level. This course is way too much of a trek to play in those conditions. The worst part is that they didnt even have a logo ball for my collection. Save yourself the misery and avoid this course.

I had such a great outing yesterday (5/23/2015) that I wanted to post a positive review. I played the Golf Club at Rio Vista maybe around 3 years ago and it was so unbearable that I almost walked off at the turn. I discover that the course was going thru an owner’s transition and wasn’t maintained. The mosquitoes were unbearable. My golf buddies inform me that it’s under new management so I decide to try it again. What a difference a great head pro can make! It’s was like visiting a whole new course. From the friendly and welcoming staff to the course maintenance (keeping it down the middle) and the 19 hole with very good food! What a blast. I would strongly endorse visiting and playing a round. It’s a great value and is now on the top of my favorite local go to courses! Again, what a difference good management makes! Good Job!

I really want to like this course as it once was worth the drive to golf here. The fairways are so thick that balls get lost on perfectly good drives. The bunkers are filled in and have lost the esthetics of the past. This course mess TLC to bring it back to what it once was. Even on the turn (approx 12 noon) there was no one at the bar to grab a drink. I really hope they invest more time into this once beautiful course.

Golf course: awesome setup, but needs a little TLC.Tees, greens need some work, fairways are spotty an in need of water not overwatering an cut on a regular schedule.Management needs to put back in the course. You really have a Gem in the middle of nowhere.

The tee boxes (tips) badly maintained, the greens had been punched and where incredibly slow. The course is in good condition and has some beautiful features. course marshal to ensure pace of play, plus beverage cart would be a bonus.

Nice simple main restaurant, food surprisingly good. Calm atmosphere, wide range of housing ranges from 1990s to current builds. Golf course needs water and work. Its far from a main road which has its pluses and minuses.

The golf course is in horrendous condition! This is a steady decline since the departure of Trilogy over 10 years ago. Also, if you dont mind listen to drunk racist blowhards, the food in the club restaraunt is good.
