The San Antonio Winery Is The Only One Left In Southern California! Thankfully Anthony DeGoede and I were finally able to visit the San Antonio Winery back on Sunday, August 21, 2016. I have been living in Los Angeles since 1994 and honestly, I was Not sure if the winery was still running or Not and so I did some online research very recently and learned that they are still operational and immediately paid a visit to this fantastic place! The winery has been in existence since 1917 and tours are offered on a daily basis in which they will show you where they keep the wine in barrels, along with the fermentation area and where they process, pack and box up the wine. Their tours are quite interesting and after your tour you can participate in a wine tasting in which we both did as you can see in the pictures. Last, but Not least, I was also able to meet and greet the former owner whose name is Stefano who is 95 years old now and believe it or not, but his uncle is the one who actually started up the business. I just want to say, Thank You to Arturo, our Tour Guide who gave us a wonderful tour, as well as to all of the people who served us the wine such as Rosemary. You Are The Best And We Hope To Visit You All Very Soon! Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore, Customer And Tourist Anthony DeGoede, Customer And Tourist

The winery where San Antonio opened at this place in 1917. A vineyard isnt downtown already, its said that they moved to a suburb. The wine made here is three servings, and its drinkable for free of charge. A casual and good plate dish is served, and the person who would like to drink wine tightly would prefer the one from which a bottle is ordered at a restaurant.

They are RACIST! If you are other than white, you are a Target! They will say you are drunk asap and stop you from wine tasting and when you ask for the manager (Dominic) he himself will pretend hes not the last one in charge or the reason why you can not drink any longer... He will waste five minutes and come back to say oh.. "they said" one of you was stumbling so NO more wine... Mind you we are 5 women at least 130 pounds each and drank one, 1 full glass of wine (this is the artisan deal $15 for 4 very extreme small wine taste of their wines which equal one full glass of wine)... Nobody stumbled. I asked to see a video of such accusations and none could be provided... We were laughing celebrating a birthday and I guess it was too much for this boring winery! Not recommended! So sad because we are internet gurus and will down talk this winery on our blogs! Thumbs down lovely strong ladies... It can maybe even be a sexist thing with them here.

A little hidden gem within Los Angeles, who would have ever thought we would have a winery in LA . Place was great in regards to how clean and how the place looks. I went during the lunch time rush which is a little something new . You pick from array of dishes that was prepared. Once you have decided you stand in line and give your order, they give you a table card of what you order . You then pay for your items and have a seat, within a few minutes the food comes out. For me the food looks and smells amazing. So they get stars for that , but both times I went the chicken and salmon were over cooked for my liking . I think everything is pre cooked, and would just place the food on plates once its ordered. This place is great to try . But would not really go out of the way to try the food , unless you are in the area . In regards to the wine selection , you cant go wrong with that they have a great selection of them.

A great lunch experience! Parking: Plenty in their lot at the end of Lamar St. Proceed past the wine retail store to the back where the restaurant is located. You will not see any menus above counters or at tables. Instead, sample dishes are displayed near the counter. Identify the dish you wish to order and relay this to the server at the counter who will hand you a tray along with a table tent with the name of your selection. Proceed down the counter to beverage station; selections in include alcoholic and non-. Pay at the register. A server will help you with your tray to a table. Lunch is really busy. If you have the time try to get there before the rush. I was there around 11:30 a.m. and made it before the line got really long. On this occasion, I had the lasagna and it was great. My lunch entree came with a salad and dinner roll. Price, $15 no beverage

Was looking for wineries in the Los Angeles area and came across this place. Glad it did. The staff your was awesome and the staff was great. My friend and I were greeted by David right when we walked in. David explained how the tour worked and guided us through some wine tasting while we waited for the tour to start. The tour was a educational and interesting and antonio, our tour guide, really seemed to be passionate about his work. Before we headed out, David and Matt treated us to some more wine and witty banter while we shopped after the tour. Couldnt have been a more pleasant experience. I would go on, but Im having network connectivity problems.

What a refreshing place to take my clients. A Winery in the middle of Los Angeles. I never knew that it was there until a client told me about it. I thought that it would be somewhere different that I could take my clients too. I was pleasantly surprise. The food is outstanding, the workers are so friendly and helpful and the music was so wonderful to listen to. We enjoyed the music so much that we stayed even longer than we should of. It wasnt the typical elevator music that is on a radio but it was music that all generations would enjoy. I have been back a couple of times and plan on coming back often.

Great place to spend a weekend afternoon/evening. There are a lot of activities - wine tasting ($5 for 4 tastings), shopping (they sell everything from chocolate to scented soap), free winery tour .. Restaurant is cafeteria style but very good ambiance. Food quality was very good (I shared a shrimp scampi with my wife since the portions we pretty big). Others in our group liked their food too. There was live music when we were there. You can buy your beer (Good selection $3 and up) and wine (nominal corkage) from the store and take it to your table. Over all very good value for money

I havent gone wine tasting in LA before but apparently San Antonio Winery was the very first of the first to allow free tasting, at least thats what i learned during my 15 minutes tour of the place. The tour itself was quick and painless nothing to ooh or ahh about especially if you been to napa valley but def a good time killer. We are allowed 3 complimentary wine tasting on the list but they do often give you a couple of extras if you asked. We ended up buying 3 bottles for only $33 so its a pretty good deal.
