This is a very fun place to be no mattter how old u r...I have not had the pleasure of going as often as I would have liked to. But they r great folks there...my dear friends Ray and Sandy owned the place before his passing..one of the only bars I would go to other then Rodeo club..it was called old town saloon then. And the atmoshere was so nice. They did a good job keeping the place hopping... but like anything else things change .but the atmosphere that R Place has given my old stomping grounds is charming to say the least...its fun its quaint. Its a place where you can go and dance with ur pops. A fellow class mate of mine Christine had the pleasure of doing just that very thing there in the pressence of a dynamic band by the name of jungle rooster..he danced his 80ish year old heart out...it was fun to watch...what a blessing..he recently passed away...Rip my friend...Ive spoken thru facebook with a couple of the owners and they have said they would be willing to allow me to cook for some future going ons...I look forward to doing so some day...fabulouse place all in all. Great service amazing exoctic holiday drinks. Epic entertainment....id go everynight if I could Wendy sue

Poor Management! Not going to cast insults, just saying these guys just dont know what they are doing. This bars hay days have long past. Its declined to zero popular and its survival seems to depend on weekend business from the same crowd.... over & over again with the same repetition of the same band and bad karaoke nights. Nothing fresh, nothing new and the entertainment/activities they do provide are subject to the approval of the regulars. Not the a very friendly experience. Also the hours here say open until 2am... that totally incorrect. This place closes as early at 11:30pm and is completely random.

Skip this place completely! Me and some friends came here last Saturday night and i was not impressed at all. I wont go into much detail, but if your looking to shoot a game of pool on those nice pool tables... Forget it! Your gonna have to convenience the beer pong playing elders to play somewhere else... ( be ready for a confrontation ) or just skip this place altogether. This and a few odd looks i didnt appreciate was enough to keep me from coming back. Its such a waste, they have great tables... But maybe thats because nobody can play on them...

Went there for the open mic Friday night and found a very cool scene. Lots of good local musicians playing their hearts out and a really cool crowd of customers who came to get down and did so. For me local music and bands are where the heart of American music really beats - you know theyre doing it for the love of it. Great bartender, cool patrons and live music + a really cool pizza joint next door. Ill be back.

Great staff . Lots of variety when it comes to quality beer . Owners and managers run a well maintained establishment! Always good people and good live music to go with your pool playing or dancing the night away on the dance floor. Overall I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time

the bartender with glasses made unwelcome homosexual advances and when rebuffed began to become agitated and started to make threats. I will never return and will be back at the good times tavern on n Livermore. who needs homo harassment at 11am?

The crowd is definitely hit or miss. In many cases its an older crowd which I suppose may or may not appeal to you. Karaoke night was a lot of fun but the live bands can get a bit too loud for my taste. Bartenders were friendly.

Nice chill vibe at this bar, usually not crowded, and Wednesday nights is Karaoke! Super fun, the DJ has a huge selection and really cares about showing people a good time! Favorite place to sing some tunes!
