Came here for the AYCE mussels (every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) including a Belgian Beer on Tap (Stella, Leffe, or Hoegarden) or a Glass of House Wine & Fries for $26 per person =) Score!! 5 stars You can pick which flavor of sauce you want your mussels to be soaked in. I ordered the garlic but hardly tasted any garlic in it. =( The 2nd & 3rd rounds came out in a lot smaller bowls. =( some of the batches were small but some were bigger...very random. Overall, 4 stars for the value, cost & taste =) Escargot: 4 stars Good sized buttered & garlicy yummy snails. =) I even used the garlic butter sauce to dip my mussels into. Great combo of flavors. =) Service: slow, only 1 waiter & busboy to handle the whole place. They really need to hire more waiters to handle the summer crowds here. -1 If its your bday then this is a great place to celebrate it. They bring out a Free dark chocolate mouse dessert & play music with a bright big flaming candle. Yay!! =) Tip: Every Friday & Saturday: Djs Night Club 10.30pm European Electro Music

I typically give fairly long winded reviews, but on this occasion it will be short and sweet. Ive passed BBs several times not realizing the AMAZING Belgium Beer selection they offer. The Hostess out front gladly showed me their beer selection and I was like "WOW!" I went in or should I say down into the restaurant bar area and was greeted by a lovely gal managing bar duties. They had some great beers on draft from Chimay, Chouffe, Duvel and the list goes on. I ordered a Houblon Chouffe which was superb. Their bottle list was more amazing. Again offering amazing Belgium delicacies! I wasnt hungry, but the plates that were coming out of the kitchen to other patrons looked delicious! The prices are reasonable and they offer Happy Hour pricing on select items. I am REALLY looking forward to going back to try out their food and drink more delicious Belgium Beer!

I had dinner with a group of friends at Brussels Bistro in Laguna beach on December 18, 2008. We all split the bill evenly and paid $40 each with our credit cards. My friend Vanessa found out a few days later that they had charged $400 instead. I just found out that they charged me $40 twice, the first time back in december, and the second time yesterday March 13, 2009 (3 months after I visited the restaurant). I called to ask them to reverse the double charge and a girl named Vladimira told me Thiery the manager wasnt in but she took my number and she promised Thiery would call me back. Thiery never did. I called back again and the phone just rang but no one picked up. What a headache. No matter how cute this little euro-style hole in the wall might be, it may leave a bad taste in your mouth.

This is our "must have" restaurant whenever we visit Laguna Beach. This last time, they has a special appetizer salad with trout and ponzu that was out of this world delicious. Normally, we order a pot of mussels with fries and lots of bread. I particularly like the curry option. I have never experienced mussels where the meat is almost as large as the shell. They also have lots of delicious beer options, Chimay is my preferred option. This place is hidden away below street level, a gem in the crowded restaurant scene in Laguna.

my husband and i found the ratings of this restaurant to be ridiculously kind. i had the ny strip steak, which was absolutely disappointing. my husband had the chicken in puff pastry and we could have had better flavor by buying a frozen marie calendars pot pie. ill give a thumbs up to the belgian beer, which my husband enjoyed. the french fries are completely over rated, orleans cafe at disneyland has better fries! come on people!

The best Belgian restaurant by far!! I am from Belgium and every time I homesick I go there. The food is to die for. They offer the best mussels in Socal with a variety of diff sauces: cream and garlic, white wine, nature, ... The fries are divine, feels like home. They also have a big selection of Belgian beer. I also love the atmosphere, service is perfect!!

Came here with a dear friend! Sat at the bar and had GREAT service. The Belgian beer selection was great and extensive. The food was well described, ample and delicious! We had the salmon dinner and the roast chicken with all the fixins and the best Belgian frites. They even let me play some Irish tunes on my whistle...cant wait to go back again!

French Belgian Food with Belgian Beer! Cant get any better than that! What I like about Brussels bistro is that the food is authentic Belgian and of course the beer is too. Its a great place to meet friends and have a good time. Reserve your table at busy times, otherwise drop in, sit at the bar and enjoy live the Belgian way.

Cafeteria style French fries are NOT frites and the ketchup and mayo came in little dishes with the telltale center peak from the pump dispenser. I dont mind paying extra for location (by the beach) but you cant serve french fries with mediocre mussels and call yourself a Belgian restaurant. Service and beer were fine.

Laguna Beach weather made the patio seating great. The menu is well balanced with something for everyone. Waiters were warm and friendly, and their suggestions all hit the mark. Recommend the white wine and garlic mussels. The croquettes are also very good. Of course, everything on the menu goes well with beer.

Locals and friends of locals. During the day, food is always spot on. Crowds are super eclectic, home of the euro-trash and outcast hipsters... Staff seems always excellent and worldly. During peak hours, noise factor can high at times, but off peak its very intimate. People watchers and voyeurs welcome!!

Brussels Bistro has a relatively small menu but the small menu is augmented by wonderful weekly specials. The tap beer selection is great. The happy hour(s) is (are) generous. And best of all, the staff is friendly, personable, and "johnny-on-the-spot. It is my favorite restaurant in Laguna Beach.

I have been a regular at this place since I moved to Laguna Beach. They have a really good and different menu. The head chef is Belgian so you know the cuisine is authentic. Some of the best Mussels Ive ever had are served at this place. Interesting and eclectic crowd usually hangs out here.

Came here on a whim from a coworkers recommendation and I was not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, knowledgeable waitstaff, and excellent food and drinks. Their draft beer selection could be expanded but the beers they do have are mostly those harder-to-find excellent Belgian beers.

This was okay for the money. Most places in Laguna are a bit pricey for what you get. The woman outside promises a genuine Brussels experience we were left with an underwhelming pasta experience. Food was bland and service mediocre at best. Positives for fries and portion size.
