This venue is perfect for weddings. The view is beautiful, the facilitaties are modern and updated, and the location is spectular. On the down side, the part-time event manager (michelle) who has taken over a number of events is slow to return emails and calls, not proactive in letting you know details that are essential to a successful event, and not at all customer service oriented or open to helping to solve issues. Parking is a major issue at wedding rehearsals, walk throughs, etc that this venue and/or event coordinators could easily resolve, but choose not too.

There is no doubt that this is THE place to get married at in San Diego. It not only has spectacular views (and great space)...but is a truly beautiful, contemporary & well maintained facility. The Staff who runs it are fantastic....they are all super attentive, responsive & caring. I just worked with Michelle this past weekend and she was amazing!! Responded back to my emails immediately, met with us various times for walk throughs, and was extremely accomodating. We couldnt have had a better customer service experience...nor a better Wedding.

We were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday and we heard about this new cafe on La Jolla Shores. It was a nightmare finding parking. What kind of business opens a restaurant and does not provide any parking aside from street parking which we know at the Shores is nearly impossible. We ended up celebrating in Piattis and were very happy and stress free from needing to find parking. Cant even rate the food because... we never even had a chance to try it! until you solve the parking problem, a lot of people will be turned off.

Parking was a nightmare. But some kind man gave us the secret on how to bypass the "staff only parking". You have to gradually press either "5-2-2-5" or "5-5-2-2", sorry I cant remember exactly! But the total parking amount came to $16, a pretty fair price for parking right next to the beach (we were going snorkeling).

Four stars because the food was just meh. Location is to die for right on the coast. Parking can be tricky. Check with your host to see if they have reserved a lot. I parked on a neighboring street, which can be tight since surfers park in the vicinity as well. Seating in auditorium was super comfortable as well.

Assisted with a wedding here. Beautiful location, and the venue staff was extremely helpful. It is incredible at sunset and afterwards. Only drawback is the lack of privacy, although it wasnt too big of a deal. Most people were pretty respectful.
