This is a club that fits almost any type of person looking to enjoy gaming. The hofbrau is filled with a wonderful variety of foods, and the people that serve you, are most hospitable. The chip girls are friendly and helpful in any way they can be, with always a sense of humor put into their conversation. The bar is fully stocked, and the bartender is well acquainted with whatever drink, from whatever part of the world youd like ! The man over sees all, and makes sure all is going correctly is fair and honest, 24-7 days a week-count on it ! As the hours fly bye, the conversation is spinning, the drinks are just as youd want them to be, and the time has come for you to leave, you will leave with a smile and a larger sized wallet, and the feeling of pleasure spent at The Oaks Club. 11/17/14

While in area with meet ups, I had to use the restroom. Instead of coming in main entrance by coat check room, I opted for hofbrau entrance. Media vehicle was park at BofA, oops! Seems like the place has cleaned up a bit. New carpeting and automatic time air fresheners. The environment sure has changed, but not the down on their luck folks. Loitering is a common daily practice here. "Hey brotha, how about loaning me fine bucks?" Its a place for those to go in the middle of the night if theyre feeling lucky. Theyve California style blackjack, pai gow (tiles), double-hand poker (American style of pai gow. Theyve a bar and restaurant that serves mostly american and asian cuisine. Security guard posted near each exit, but once youre out of their sight youre on your own.

Sad news after doing some research on their shuffle/dealing machines on card games such as 3 card poker, blackjack and pai gow I have found that the machines are remotely programmed with a house advantage. If you request to have the cards shuffled by hand they refuse without giving you a reason why they cannot do so. If the games are fair there should be no problem shuffling the cards at any time during a sitting upon player request. If you plan to go only go for the poker games ie texas hold em, omaha etc because these games depend on skill. Research the machines and you will see there are only 2 companies that make them and you will learn about the programming via remote. Very sad:(( no more 3 card for me.

I havent played at a lot of casinos or card rooms, but I would say that overall Oaks Card Club is okay. There are a lot of old people that play here, and it seems that Stud games and limit poker is really popular here, with mostly the younger people playing NL Hold Em. The tournaments are also decent - they start off really slow but once the antes kick in the pace picks up a lot. I played a Saturday $120 buy-in tourney with re-entries, and it took about 6 hours to finish. Also, only water, coffee, and tea is free here - all other drinks cost money. A lot of people walk across the street to 7-11 to pick up drinks/snacks/cigarettes.

It would seem as if dealer cheats because they do check your hands win or loose. they often make way to many mistakes then they will can the floor man with bogus resolutions dont go even when you win you loose watch them go from bottom of deck and pull miracle cards out slick people and cards gotta know when you are being cheated Needless to say

I hit a billion too one shot thee other day by hitting the jackpot. Quad 7s beaten by quad 9s. Unfortunately I filled out a self exclusion earlier this year in the state of CA. Long story short. I wasnt granted the money but everyone else got a great table share. Good ambiance excellent food and decent poker action.

As far as the poker goes this is a good place to go. The games are well-run and fun to play. The negatives are the lack of parking and the sketchiness of the surrounding area. I avoid this problem by using the valet parking.

Table games have stupid rules like you have to pay a dollar per hand and you only get one card when you split aces, and all kinds of convoluted ways of cheating. Dont waste your time or your money here.

Food here is usually solid, although the ambiance leaves something to be desired. We usually order take-out here and enjoy at home. Surprising amount of food for the price. Good value!
