Hard to get to. Ive gotten lost more than once relying on my memory to find it in the delta. Once I was nearly pushed into the slough by a large truck on the narrow levee road leading to the winery. But I keep going back because the quality of the wines - both red and white - is outstanding for the reasonable prices charged. The tasting room is small and homey, staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable people - sometimes family members. The view from the deck of the tasting room is of agricultural fields - not Napa Valley - but pastoral and very peaceful. Its also usually very uncrowded (probably because many have gotten lost and gone back home. Ha!). As for the wines, they are solid, mildly oaked and true to the varietal. The chardonnay and petite sirah are always winners. The sauvignon blanc is also very good.

Living about 20 miles from Bogle, I have been there now and then for small afternoon gatherings. Once we had a wine and picnic party for about 20 a few years back that lasted 4 or 5 hours. The property is lovely with long views over the vineyard from the shaded picnic area. Bogle is one of the few wineries that charge the local retail price for their wines instead of the typically huge winery markup price. In September 09 four of us gathered our snacks and spent the afternoon at Bogle enjoying a $20 Reserve Syrah.

Take a lovely drive into the Delta and wander down a country lane next to the river. This is the drive to Bogle. At the end is a cool barrel room a great place to taste on a hot day. Bogle sources grapes from all over the Northern California AVAs. From grocery offerings to wines sold only at the winery. My server (CC) was a great guy who could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about these wines. Recommend.

Up a windy road from the river. The tasting room is a little hard to find since Google Maps tags it a bit further up. The tasting room itself is a bit crowded. Tastings are free though, which is nice. You get to choose up to 6 wines. They have a few whites - the riesling and moscato are nice and light. The reds are decent too.

Great wines, friendly people. Ive been happily aware of the former point for years -- the latter point was learned when I was among a large horde of century cyclists last Fall. I want them to know Ive repaid their kindness by being a frequent purchaser of their great wine. (I know, BIG sacrifice).
