Ive played this course twice in the last few weeks. Its close to my house so I go there mostly out of convenience. They have a really good practice area with rolling greens that run true to the speed on course. As per usual the finishing holes are in impeccable condition but the further away from the Clubhouse you get the worse the conditions get. The pace of play was decent, the greens were relatively consistent in speeds. A few things fixed would be great. I was chased by a dog on the front nine, when I told the staff they laughed and said "oh that dog always gets out". The staff in the cafe should give the staff in the pro shop a lesson in hospitality. When I go to a golf course I expect to be treated with respect, after all I am giving you my hard earned money. The staff in the pro shop is impatient, rude and indifferent. I realize that there will be those that read this and want to defend it. These are the regulars. Regulars are treated kindly, both times I went to the course I felt like a nuisance. I checked in 10 minutes early to my tee time and was told my group was on the tee. I made sure that I was early and their clock also said I was early. Again, this is an average Municipal course that wont really test you if you are a low handicap player. Hospitality however is appreciated. Just because you are convenient for me to come play at does not mean I will go elsewhere where I feel my business is appreciated

Normally we have a great time at Las Colinas, live near by, and this is our home course, but unfortunately, due to very poor customer service today and then charging extra for a ridiculous "rule", we will not be coming back. Very immature staff member who charged us a $15 cart fee for a fourth rider. Never have the experienced golfers that I went with have had to pay for a fourth rider. Las Colinas lost dedicated golfers, as we will never be returning. Way to go Colinas. They tried matching us up with a fourth and then sent out two single carts after us. How much sense does that make? Take care Colinas, you will not be seeing us and we will make sure to share our experience with other golfers.

I Really like this course. I find it challenging enough to get real practice done on it and work on my game in all facets. And its a fun course. Some of the holes could be maintained a bit better, but overall for a public course, I find it is generally in really good shape. I also like the way they treat junior golfers. Very welcoming to those of us teens (early, mid and late) in allowing us to use the range and even course sometimes to encourage our take up and practice at golf. A very good decision in my mind. The restaurant/bar area could be a bit more built out and inviting, but hey, this isnt a private country club! All in all, one of my favorites in the area.

Its about 60/40 here. More good experiences than bad. This place flat out needs more ranger presence to ensure everyone is displaying proper golf etiquette, including rate of play. Ive seen behavior on this course that needs to be addressed. I realize its a public course, so riff raff shows up, but dont short change the rest of us that pay and want to enjoy our round, even if its only $20.00 .This review is honestly to aid the management in making this a great golf club. The staff behind the counter are usually friendly and fun to chat with. Just need to crack down on some of the nonsense on the course.

Big Truth

Extremely playable layout for high/mid-handicappers and just challenging enough for low ballers to keep their handicaps firmed up. Shop staff are friendly and patient. This is a no-frills operation with a nice indoor grill staffed by friendly folks. Summer rates bring an outstanding bargain. I would have given it 5-stars except apparently the price of bunker sand is prohibitively expensive, hence the reason most of the bunkers resemble a mixture of quarter-minus landscape gravel and caliche. Play the proper set of tees here and youll have a great time.

Nice golf course and overall a great experience. My only complaints would be that we started a fair bit late on our tee time and while the greens were good they did leave a little to be desired. Will I play here again? The answer is most certainly yes but it wont be my first pick.

Very poor pro shop. Lady at front desk is very rude and impatient. Too many options in the valley to be like this. I will take my money elsewhere. Plus people just go on the range and pick up balls randomly and bring them back to hit. Overall poor experience all the way through.

Great course. I live in the area, so this is an enjoyable course that doesnt require me to drive a long distance to golf. I like the putting green practice area and chipping area. Would like to see a better restaurant, but Im sure that will come eventually.

Greens in good shape,rough was rough, so as long as you are in the fairway you can do well. Food was good, and the cart girl was pleaser. Cant complain.

Not very challenging course but fun and you can get through 18 pretty quickly of you are a solo. Go early!
