We chose to play this course even thought it is a 45 minute drive for us because we have a Fore Card Players card and knew we got a discount with it. We were told on the phone that the greens fees would be $39 per player. We got charged $50! I did not check my reciept at the time but during the round it occurred to me that we got over charged. I went back into the pro shop after finishing and encountered a rude person behind the counter. I was told that whoever told us $39 made a mistake and quoted us the weekday rate. I pushed for the quoted rate and was told that he could give me a $6 range certificate "if I was really worried about the $6". We will never golf there again - not when there are dozens of courses closer with better customer service!!

The course was muddy, the sprinklers were on and we had to skip a few holes. The cart started to hum as if it was in reverse while we were driving forward and the GPS/electronic scorecard was broken. I actually called in to tell them the sprinklers were on and they did nothing as far as I could see. At the end of the round they asked how our round was and told them "it was fine if you consider [the above mentioned] was acceptable." No response from the employee, all he did was hand me back my credit card they held for the rental clubs. We are here on vacation so for the price we paid (green fees and club rental) Im very disappointed in the course and customer satisfaction.

14NOV2012 - Enjoyed a nice round. Course was in great shape. Greens fees were perfect for the course. I was able to use just about every club in my bag. The course is set in a residential area with homes, highways, water canal and streets that border and bisect the course. None of which came into play or distracted from the golf. There are a sufficient number of hazards to keep you challenged. The only hole I did not like was #12; a par 3 with a blind, elevated green. The green is completely hidden by mounding. The back nine seemed like the original course, but fits in well with the front nine. The staff was friendly.

Played the course this past Saturday and they did not have enough golf carts so we didnt tee off until 45 minutes after our tee time. They were not able to send people out as there were no carts...so I reccomended walking instead and I was told we could not. We and the groups in front of us had to sit and wait while carts slowly came in. The pace of play, when we finally got on the course was awful. We did not finish the round. Poor business accumen and poor service. I wouldnt. There are hundreds of courses in Phoenix..why risk them not having enough carts when you go to play? Try another course if I were you.

Love the course lay out and hole diversity, those who play this course know it can play many different ways. I have played here when it has not even a slight breeze and shot a good score 82. Which for me is pretty damn good, however i have played here when it has been windy and the course plays a lot longer and much more difficult. That day i had to scramble to keep my score under 90. The staff is always top notch and i highly recommend playing here if you get the chance. Its one of the top if not the number one value as far as what type of experience you get for the cost or green fees for the course.

This is one of my favorite local golf courses. The holes are challenging, but they are extremely varied so it makes for a fun round of golf. There seems to be water on almost every single hole (I have donated many golf balls to them). One thing you can always count on when playing here is that the greens are in great shape - and that is one thing that keeps me coming back. The prices are very fair especially during the summer (less than 30).

On a recent visit to Mesa, we played this golf course. It was challenging yet not out of reach skill wise. The cost was excellent for a round of golf including cart. I cannot say enough nice things about the people that worked there, from the pro shop to the bartender, they are all awesome. Toying with the idea of getting a place here for retirement and this golf course is definately at the top of my list. I loved it here!

This championship course is kept as such. The fairways are very well kept and there is an even tone of green all throughout. The greens are just impecable. And the summer rates are awesome! The only downside to play during summer is the ungodly Arizona heat, so keep well hydrated and use tons of sun block. I must give credit to the amazing staff, friendly, courteous, and with a positive attitude.

I dont know what is happening to Superstition Springs Golf Course but its a mess. Ive been playing here for over a decade and I have never seen it in such bad shape. They let the ponds all dry out. Why. Without water its a cow pasture. Either its being completely mismanaged or they are getting ready to close it down. I recommend playing elsewhere.. Very disappointing.

At 100 buck to play I would not recommend this golf course. It has a great layout with nice greens. The overall maintenance is very poor for a golf course demanding this fee. You can barely find your ball in the rough. Dont waste your time with this one unless you can golf it for 60 bucks maximum. I felt like a donkey in my group suggesting this one.

We just held our 3rd Annual Desert Ridge Football Golf Tournament here and like years past the staff and management are very organized and helped make sure our event was a success. The manager Seth is great to deal with and knows his business well. If you ever have a chance to play the course do not pass up the opportunity.

The course is great and well maintained. The only negative were the messages sent about being behind. We never held anyone up but they felt the need to send a Marshall out to tell us if we didnt speed up they would make us skip holes until we were where they thought we should be. It was annoying.

Fun round. It was ten+ years since I had played. Still a great track but it is definitely showing its age. They have let a few of the water hazards run dry. The building inside needs an update but the staff was awesome! I will be back. My gps didnt work. Had to pay told the old school way.

Unbelievable slow pace of play. Literally 6 hour round of golf. When my group finished, we asked if they had someone to keep up pace of play, the response was we do, but he left an hour ago. Spend more money and go to a place that isnt concerned with stuffing the course full of people.
