Let me say, Ive been playing here since it opened. So my perspective is having seen it at various times and its the comparisons that shape my review. First - the staff. They are fantastic. Friendly, helpful. I would give the pro shop and course staff five stars. The only negative was a custodian out on the course talking loudly on her cell phone. Ok - its a slow day. But when you see golfers ... whisper. Second - the course. Still a good course, but ... not what it used to be. Tee boxes with dead grass? How hard is it to maintain a tee? Cartpaths with cracks and clear signs of not being maintained? Again ... these are ok, but very noticeable for a $95 course. I would think they would be better. Third - practice green. Hello? Please blow the green ... it had so much pine straw on it as to be unusable. The range .. its a range. I was surprised at the condition of the grass, but the tees were good. Overall ... still a great course to play but not in as good a shape as it used to be. It plays like a $50 course, but thats just in comparison to others. If in Mobile, I prefer Lakewood.

We just played Magnolia Grove on May 24, 2009. The Crossings course is closed and undergoing massive renovation. However, the Falls course and the Short course are open for play. We played the Falls. The course was in fairly good shape but the greens were spotty...some good...some not so good. We give the course low marks for convenience since the bag drop and parking are not terribly convenient. The bag drop is on one side of the clubhouse and the parking is all the way on the opposite side of the cubhouse. Also, the employees were not very helpful or informative. It rained heavily the night before we played. We checked in at the pro shop and began play only to find out after playing 5 holes that play was cart path only. It was only when a marshall came around that we were informed. If we had known that play was cartpath only when we checked in, we probably would not have played the course, since the first few holes were rather sloppy.

This course was outstanding (and it should be the week before the Bell Micro LPGA event here in May). The course is still new in that the greens and such are VERY firm. It was difficult to get ANY spin on the ball. It will be a 5 star course once it settles in (and if they keep it in the condition it is in now). I would highly recommend it for any level of player, especially if you hit it into the woods, there is a lot of pine needles/straw, (so you can always find your ball). I look forward to playing the other 18 once it is finished. This is a must play for the gulf coast.

The golf course and the food are great. Its the maintenance staff or whoever runs it, that needs a change. The kids that work dont care. They get bottom dollar to work in the heat or cold all day. The guy who runs the falls is not a friendly person and can be very off-putting. The management over maintenance seem to have an entitled attitude and it shows. Clubhouse is great, carts are clean, cart girls come often and the food is great. The rest of the staff is great as well.

played 18 on The Crossings on 2-13-16 .. Really Enjoyed it.. Course conditions were in great shape but you can tell the greens have seen alot of traffic and im guessing because of the recent rain showers the greens in low lying areas appear to have a lil more wear but even still they rolled perfectly true..i didnt see any negative effects on putt path and it did seem the greens on the back nine improved drastically

My wife and I are on a quest to play golf in all 50 states, and we play a lot as it is, we really enjoyed playing this course it was in great shape and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We played the crossing course and will have to go back to play the falls.

I play here a few times a month. The 3 courses ( 2 regular & an 18 hole par 3 ) , the practice facilities , and the staff are all top notch! If youre local , make sure to buy the Trail card and save $ every round.

Played the Falls the morning after a heavy rain and it was cart path only. Absolutely LOVED it. Literally had the course to ourselves. Played Crossings next day but loved Falls best!

Good thing they got that new static machine. If no one can go out you dont have to worry about putting around divots on the greens. :D
