Worst water park Ive ever been to. When you walk from the parking lot to the park itself you cross over a 2 ft deep, stagnant, algae filled pond. While I was there, a lot of construction was going on and so I was always trying to find and avoid stray nails as the construction zone overlapped with the hot asphalt walking path. I tried to swim in the pool but someone had defecated in it. About three hours of going on the only halfway decent ride, I returned to the pool only to find it still littered with feces. The slides on the hill are absolutely disgusting. They are simply a tarp winding down a grassy hill. In an attempt to keep the guest "safe," the spring valley beach lawmakers advise that you wear one of their 30, dirty helmets to choose from. While you may not get a concussion, you will certainly contaminate your whole school/office with lice. The "lifeguards" at spring valley beach do as much work as John McCain. They seem to be more interested in how much dip they can pack into their lip than if you seriously injure yourself or others. My guess is that they have loads of confidence in the trusty helmets. After hours of trying not to get infected by every bacteria there was, I went into the pavilion to rest in the shade. While there, I observed a man smoking a cigarette, cooking on an open table top grill, fueled by sticks and twigs his daughters had gathered for him. You might think that this is not that bad, but this flame was within about 10 yards of an elderly womans oxygen tank. I thankfully left shortly thereafter to a place far away, never to return again.

We LOVED our day at Spring Valley Beach this week. What a WONDERFUL place to spend the day! We were a group of friends/moms from church in Birmingham and we brought all of our 20 kids (ages 3-13) to Spring Valley Beach for the day. There is definitely something for everyone in any age group. We rented a pavillion, brought our lunch and made a day of it. BEST DAY OF THE SUMMER......and you simply cannot beat the price for what you get. Facilities & grounds were clean, rides and pools were fun and the management very friendly. HIGHLY recommend!!! I have seen other comments about the prices being too high.....that is just silly. You simply cannot beat the price for all of the activities, rides, cleanliness and fun that you can have for a whole day. We WILL be back!

Pretty high pricing considering the number of slides they have but I was willing to look past that and give it a shot. However, a storm broke out after being there only one hour amd we had to leave the pool. We waited 2 hours and finally decided to leave, as the radar did not show the storm easing anytime soon. I asked the ticket desk about a potential refund, but they laughed it off saying they were "fresh out of rain checks". They were not even willing to talk about a refund, rain check, discount for next time...nothing. They just keep my $52 and tough luck for me. Add to that the rude staff, quality of the slides, lack of floats, and the main attraction only being halfway operational and I wont be making a return trip. I would encourage you to do the same.

Absolutely loved it!! It was my first time at this water park and I had the time of my life. Admissions were fairly decent.. especially since you can bring your own grill and coolers with food and drinks! The pool is huge and the area is spacious. I loved the rides and the fact that there were no long lines I had to stand in. Free parking is offered and its not far from the park (just a quick 5min walk) unlike other attractions where you have to walk your life off just to get to them. I would definitely recommend Spring Valley Beach to anyone looking for a fun-relaxing family BBQ style water park :)

This was a fantastic place to spend the day! There were sunny places to sit and shady places. There was free parking and paid parking. There were pavilions, picnic tables, grilling, concessions, plenty of room to swim, awesome water slides with hardly any lines, lots of shallow water for the kiddies, deeper water for more mature folks, changing areas, restrooms, and lifeguards. It had a wonderful, laid back, relaxed atmosphere, and it was a joy to spend the day there! The season pass is totally affordable, and we had no idea this little gem of a place was even out here! Go!

We love spring valley beach my boys choose to go here instead of having a birthday party they love it so much. The slides are right there together just up a small hill from the pool so you dont have to walk as far as other waterparks. The atmosphere is just pleasant and the fact that they let us bring in our own coolers and have pool side parking is awesome too I also love that you cant smoke inside you have to outside so my kids arent getting exposed to other peoples smoke. Spring valley beach has my vote 10 times over point mallard.

We love to go to Spring Valley Beach. We try to go at least one time each summer. It is a great place for us and our children. There is something for even our littlest one to do and our oldest loves it all. I love being able to bring my own picnic lunch so that we dont have to buy food (even though we usually buy some snacks it doesnt cost as much if we dont have to buy lunch and snacks too.) If you get a chance to visit I highly recommend that you take your family for a day of fun.

Last weekend was our first visit.....and we loved it. Felt completely safe and had a wonderful time. Everyone, even the other visitors, was friendly and there to just have a good time. Love that we can bring our own food in....makes it sooo much more affordable for those on a budget. For a cheap price, you can an entire day of fun at a limited expense. We were able to bring our tent in and set up camp for the day! Lifeguards were VERY observant of what was going on around them. Thanks!

We love going to Spring Valley. Its clean, employees are nice and helpful. Lifeguards are very attentive and watch everyone. The place is clean and lots to do, even for little ones. Our kids love the slides and tubes up on the hill. We can sit in the covered sitting area and watch them. Its great. We love being able to take our picnic lunch a tent if we want and even a grill and enjoy a great day!!! For a nice family get away come to Spring Valley!!!

I have always enjoyed taking the family, church groups and homeschool groups to SVB. It is truly a place where the whole family has something to enjoy. Every year it has become an adventure to see what else has been changed, added or upgraded. There is always something being added. The best part is that if you want to get away from the crowd for lunch or to just take a break there is another lake to go picnic near or fish in.
