You will never get a picture of the Liberty Bell without other visitors present in your photos. It is physically impossible. The fact that it is silhouetted by a gigantic window with a view of Independence Hall means that all your pictures will either feature an underexposed Liberty Bell or an extremely overexposed background. I guess the room wasnt designed with the cellphone photographer in mind. Take a picture from the opposite side if you want betting lighting but dont mind a hundred phones pointed at you. The security hardly warrants a complaint, especially compared to the experience the TSA offers when flying. Ive had far worse experiences in football stadiums and music venues. Everyone makes nonstop jokes about Nicholas Cage and National Treasurer while here. Sadly there is no acknowledgement of that national treasure (of a film).

I was very impressed with how well they are protecting the Liberty Bell. Its inside an enclosure that allows people to see it after hours and take pictures. The reason I gave them 3 stars is because the hours posted on google are wrong, its open from 9:00am - 5:00pm every day. The second reason is for the lack of bathroom access. Theres no access to bathrooms after they close and the businesses in the area will not let you use their bathrooms unless youre a customer or you sneak in without asking which is your best chance to use one. They should have portable toilets for the people that show up after hours to view the bell or allowed people to use bathrooms in one of Their buildings since the security people are still walking around after hours.

This is a must- see in Philly. I definitely recommend it, but it is kind of a "dry" tour. There are a lot of people visiting, so it is a read it yourself, watch the video kind of tour. The information is superb, and if you are the type who likes this and prefers not to be bothered by guides, you may think it is a 5 star experience. Be prepared to go through security. As I was leaving, I noticed they had an upcoming presentation about Native Americans, and they referred to them as the first Americans. It is nice too see that museums, etc. are making efforts to recognize people whose true stories have, in the past, been left out of these exhibits.

So Im a tiny chick, barely 5. I had my taser on me while walking around the city because Ive had homeless men screaming vulgarities at me as I walk past them. My friend and I happened to go by the liberty bell and decided we might as well see it. One man had me stand to the side to see if I could check it in till we left. Well a big white female security guard with glasses looks at it and shouts at me, "you cant come in with that you have to Leave." Its a low voltage taser and you cant hold it while I see a piece of history? What can I do with it while you hold it for me? She was very rude and unnecessarily. Thanks a lot.

I think it is a great place to be! The bell is a fantastic peice of art. The other thing is that Independence Hall is not that far away from the Liberty Bell. This is why I love going to Philadelphia!:) (By the way, The Liberty Bell is great. And it was not a long line. I am not disappointed at all it was actually pretty cool. I would rate this 5 stars whatver happens even in my head. I have been there 4 times. It is a super fast line. I suggest that you should higher the rates to at least at 4 stars! It is a beautiful sight to see! I love The Liberty Bell! (♥)

The Liberty Bell is one of the items on my "must see" list when I went to Philadelphia. The building is very well laid out and managed. The displays had a lot of interesting information about the history of the artifact, not just from its origin, but also from the two centuries past. The bell itself was about what you would expect from an old bell, but it was very neat to see it so closely. It is well displayed and easy for someone to get a good look at it or take a selfie with it. The National Parks staff (as always) were very knowledgeable and engaging.

Seeing the Liberty Bell, one of the iconic American symbols, is pretty cool. The bell is nicely displayed against a glass wall, with Independence Hall in the background. There are other exhibits related to the bell as well, though not nearly as interesting as the bell itself. Getting a picture can be a challenge, as hordes of people surround it much of the time. Try to go early or late if youd like a decent look at it. I found the security people working the area helpful and friendly, especially since they have to deal with so many people.

Well, if you come to see the Liberty Bell, you are in the right place. Seriously, there is only one of these things and this place has all you want. If you ask the tour guide to ring the bell they will say no. If you offer them $20, however, they will still say no, but some dude in the tour group will say something like "I know what it sounds like. Do you know what it sounds like?" and I say "no, what does it sound like" and he says "FREEDOM!" and everyone groans. But he is totally right. It DOES sound like freedom.

Este es un invaluable objeto histórico que no puedes dejar de ver si vas a Philadelphia! No esperes un apasionante paseo guiado, solo entras y debes ir leyendo todo y para los más interesados, ver un video que se pasa constantemente.

Ive been to Philadelphia twice and was not able to get in due to the long lines. It was well worth the trip in the offseason. The Liberty Bell and story is an inspiration to the things the founding fathers wanted us to believe. Where it is now with Independence Hall as a backdrop is special. You cant touch it but how it is set up gets you almost close enough to do so and every detail on the bell can be seen. Worth the effort and as I found out would have been worth the wait!
