We went ths Sunday night at about 7:30. They had a sign outside under the heading of "Todays Specials" stating tht the special was half price surf & turf. On closer inspection, we realized that t wasnt todays special, but my girlriend was really in the mood for surf & turf so we went in for dinner. After waiting about 10 minutes, a waiter finally came over to take our drink order and then disappeared for another 10 minutes in an empty restaurant. Finally, we did get our drinks and went on to order our food. Upon ordering the surf & turf, we were told that it was a special and not on the regular menu. How can you have something that is half price if it is never on the menu as full price? ....but ok, we are not complainers, my gf ordered Filet Mignon, and I ordered the crab cake dish which the waiter went on and on about, stating that the combined flavors of the crab cakes with the spinach and mashed potatoes, topped of by the most awesome onion rings was absolutely delightful and a house favorite. After waiting da half hour for our food, my gf was served a filet that looked and tasted like a hockey puck topped with hard bleu cheese! The food server (not our waiter) explained that they were out of onion rings so they gave me potato sticks on top of my mashed potatoes and crab cakes. I said, thats ok, and we proceeded to eat our dinner. The waiter did not come back to us for a full 30 minutes, never came to ask if we needed anything else, another drink, a condiment..... nothing! To make matters worse, our waiter stood talking to the only other party in the roon for at least 15 of those minutes. My gf never got the steak sauce she was looking fior. My dish was cold and less than adequate. We never got a 2nd glass of wine. When soimeone (the bus boy?) came to clear the table, he only took half the plates. We asked him for the check and waited an additional 15 minutes!!! No check!! We finally got up and went to the bar area at whch point the waiter came over to us with the check. To add insult to injury (we are in the business and are generally understanding, slow night, etc.....) we went outside to order our 2nd glass of wine at about 9:05. There was no one behind the bar. After we were comfortably seated, a young woman got up from a nearby table to inform us that they would be closing soon. I asked how soon, and she said "right now!" She waited for us to seat ourselves to tell us that we would not be served????? Worst service ever in my life!! Stay away from this place. They do not appreciate your patronage. There are many other good restaurants in the area any night of the week! Go to Tuscany or Carlas.

I was reading all the reviews and there were many that had the same concerns as I did. The staff and the management were very unprofessional as they were not concerned about their guests having a good experience, excluding the doormen and one bartender. This is a shame because I used to love this place. MY EXPERIENCE: For my 30th birthday, we took a bus there with a group of 20 people. We did call a couple days before informing then that we had a large group coming and we were bringing a cake, although they dont take reservations, we wanted them to be aware and make sure we had somewhere to sing happy birthday. My sisters boyfriend went to the bar and purchased about 10 drinks and as he was handing them out, someone must have taken 2 of them. He then told the bartender that two of the drinks were missing and the bartender told him that it wasnt their concern. He then asked to speak to a manager and wanted them to review the cameras because ONE, he wanted to prove he wasnt trying to take advantage and TWO, drinks are not cheap, but the manager had no intentions of getting to the bottom of it. The manager, being very unprofessional, gave him a hard time, telling him the cameras were broken and that he could take his 20 people and leave. This could have easily been resolved by just comping him the 2 drinks he lost. They knew we just arrived there and he just ordered them a couple minutes before. We were so aggravated and wanted to leave, but some people met us there, had there drinks, and they were dancing, including my best friendsparents. I really dont understand how ignorant they are to people who keep them in business and how they have people in these management positions who have no people skills. AGAIN, THERE WAS A DOORMAN AND A BARTENDER, I WISH I KNEW THEIR NAMES, THAT WERE AMAZING, WANTED TO MAKE SURE WE WERE HAPPY AND MADE ME GIVE THIS PLACE 2 STARS.

I go to Havana quite often. The atmosphere is nice and the food ranges from passable to excellent. Ive had the crab mac and cheese which is okay. Their burgers are good but I had to send one back once because there was a piece of plastic wrapping in it. The chicken Caesar salad is pretty decent as are their desserts. They have a pesto chicken entree that I think is excellent and I love their fries. The wait staff are friendly, however Ive never found the service to be that great. The times Ive actually eaten here Ive had to wait 30-40 minutes before someone came by to take my tables drink orders. Ive waited close to an hour to receive my food. Last week, a friend and I went to Havana to see a concert and not only did we wait at least 30 minutes before they took our orders but my friend had to remind our waitress twice about the drink he ordered. So if the service is bad and the food is hit or miss, then why do I come here so often? The concerts. That is the saving grace of this venue. At these venue, Ive seen outstanding tribute acts for bands such as The Eagles and Van Halen. Its not just tribute and cover bands, though. They also manage to get some well-known artists to play here as well. In recent years Ive seen Ace Frehley from KISS and Artimus Pyle from Lynyrd Skynyrd perform. Just last month Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles played a concert here. So, Ill continue to frequent Havana for the entertainment but unless they greatly improve their level of service, Im not sure Ill be dinning here again anytime soon.

GO TO MOJITOS ACROSS THE STREET> DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! I went to Havana on Monday afternoon the day after Easter with a party of 6. I had international guests from England who were visiting on their first trip to the U.S. On their first day in the country they were robbed in NY so I took them to Havana assuring a kinder and gentler dining experience. The server took our drink orders after some time and hurried off to the bar to retrieve them. She returned to ask for ID. She left again. She returned to inform us that the "bartender cannot accept our guests IDs from England" despite being legitimate government issue picture IDs. No other server was able to explain any reason except that "the bartender said so". I went to speak to the bartender myself and gently inquired. She gave me a rotten attitude that it was because "thats just the way I was trained, and I just got here, and Im busy." I asked to speak to the manager to try to understand. I was embarrased at the lack of hospitality our guests were experiencing! The barkeep said "I would have to wait" and complained about me to other servers right in front of me. None of which offered any help or to get the manager either. I got frustrated and turned to leave at which point she yelled out some rude comments to my back. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE HAVANA IN NEW HOPE! If the staff is a reflection of the managemnt or ownership, I can guarantee your money is more appreciated across the street at MOJITOS where the staff, food, and owner are LOVELY.
