I hate this place so much. I only go there for the indoor pool. Ive been there four times and two times I was yelled at by old ladies. There are so many old people here and they are so RUDE. The pool is small. The lanes are ridiculously narrow. Its usually cramped in there. My swimming ability is at beginners level, I can only swim half a lane and on the shallow side. These two old ladies stands there in my way all the time chatting in the water, not swimming. I always swim around them. However, one of the old ladies has the balls to tell me that I kicked water in her eye when I was swimming hahaha! This is the pool. Youre going to get wet. Im not the type to start a fight, I apologized to her and explained it is not intentional, I was taught to kick hard and that I didnt mean to kick water in her eye. In fact, I am here to practice my kicks in the water. She proceeded to say that I was taught wrong and this other old lady who she was chatting with jumped in and starts telling me how I am so wrong. I didnt even do anything to the other old lady! I feel bullied. I would move away but the distance I can go is right where they are standing. After that, they moved away to the other half of the pool where I wont go and they gather in a group talking about me. There was about 5 or 6 old ladies gathered in two circles looking at me and whispering to one another LOL! Feels like I teleported back to elementary school with old ladies. They are so childish. Other than all that, the shower has no privacy. Its one big room, no curtains, no doors, and everybody showers there.

The worst place to bring your kid for summer camp. My son has been both emotionally and physically abused by other children while going to camp here. Weve spoke to them before about the other children harassing him and they didnt do anything about it. The last straw was finding out my son was getting kicked by some other kid. I pulled my son out of their summer camp. The counselors are obviously not watching kids and not doing there job. I wouldnt be surprised if they are high just sitting down on their phones and not give a damn about the children. I wasted my money putting my son in their summer camp expecting he was going to have a great summer and instead it was the most terrifying and traumatizing summer he has ever had and they wont even give me a partial refund. I hope their summer camp gets shut down or at least get new people to watch the children.

Muy mal servicio no estan entrenados para atender a la gente. Intente inscribirme en clases de natacion pero el personal es incompetente no sabían decirme a donde debo ir ni que debía hacer, ni quien es la persona que esta registrando llegue puntual a la hora que estaba en la pagina de internet y esperé una hora y nadie me ayudo.

NYC Parks rec centers are a GEM even in a city as luxury laden as NYC! Theyve got a new computer centre with BIG MACs, a big POOL (rare even at the posh clubs) and indoor basketball! - boom! BONUS - this place is in the heart of West Village! Keep your eyes open for CELEBS walking around 6th ave - like John Waters or David Byrne! Nothing like New York! :))

Best time skating with my gym family. We can use another evening of fun. But maybe have the children skate in a different area or time. We were constantly dodging and tripping over falling children. When they came at me reaching and grabbing, I would skate around and out of their way. Every woman for herself. They will heal faster. And yes I laughed.

who in their right mind will have a common shower area .. did this center used to be a prison or something!! the place is old and nasty .. and the showers are full of old naked people with is beyond irritating .. no offence to the elderly but ... naked??? come on guys install some dividers for privacy please.

Decent facilities, best for socializing. Most people just go there for that. Lines can form at machines during peak hours, chatting will pass the time. Events are great and staff is friendly. Definitely not the cleanest gym, but far from unclean.

Love this place to get my lap swimming on. There are usually less people in the evening so it makes lap swimming pleasant. Decent size pool, 20 or 25 meters I think... spacious locker room and close to 2 subways.

Disgusting how children are treated and how they dont even feel safe to go to summer camp without the fear of getting attacked by other kids because workers cant even watch the children.

The outdoor pool is extremely busy during the summertime – if you’re lucky enough to score a chair, guard it with your life. Otherwise, enjoy the shallow and clean pool.

Great place for a workout and the membership fee is really reasonable. They also have an indoor pool which is fantastic. Although they do need to keep it a bit cleaner.

Its a bit noisy, and can be a little dirty, but its great for a free swim. Also you need to bring a lock or they will make you buy one.

Definitely the best deal for the gym with pool in NYC . Be prepared to see homeless people who just came to take a shower.

Decent pool and friendly staff though hardly 20yards when swimming the width for morning or evening swim.
