I disagree with "pelirraja." If shes so "high and mighty" that she is offended by sitting next to other people in theaters or other public venues, I suggest she stay home. Whether you are seated at a table next to others, or in a long row of seats rubbing elbows with the stranger next to you, unless you can afford to buy the extra seats all around you, sitting next to others in a venue or on an airplane is a fact of life. Im nearly 70 years old, the only people I dont like sitting next to are people who have body odor and pretentious snobs. Understanding humor takes a sense of humor, "pelirroja" thats probably why you didnt appreciate it. Maybe when you grow up you will. Also, people sweat when they work. Maybe when you actually work you will understand that too. I do agree with "mike," they could use a good sound system. I also understand that most theaters are working on a shoe-string budget and simply cant afford all those wonderful goodies. I use hearing aids, and the food packaging noises did get amplified at times. Perhaps they should look into selling snacks that are used in movie houses instead, since those places seem to have little problems with noise generated by the snacks they sell.

i went to see the Christmas Carol over the weekend and the show itself was great except for 2 things which would have made it perfect. the first was that it was very difficult to hear all of the actors from the mezzanine level. i think that they need some sort of wireless mic system or sound system. at times it was almost impossible to hear the actors. the second and worst thing about the show was that they sold cookies and bags of chips that patrons were allowed to eat during the play. if you can imagine dozens of people eating chips during the play and crumpling their bags throughoutthe play, it became very annoying and distracting and at times became so loud that you couldnt hear the actors. i think that chips and snacks should not be allowed in the theater. i mean it is wierd in that they would not allow drinks with ice in the cups in the theater but noisy snack bags are allowed. the show was great though

I love The Rep. The staff is wonderful, as friendly as it gets. I have been to two shows at The Rep: "American Song" and "Disgraced." Both plays left me ruminating for weeks. I have felt that the theater tries to pick art that calls the audience to future action as much as inspires it. I love the theaters educational programs. After "American Song," The Rep invited a community leader to present his experience on gun violence, which brought a new dimension to the show. After Disgraced, The Rep organized facilitated dialogues after the play to discuss with other people the topic of personal identity. Another great idea! On top of that, their play guides are comprehensive and engaging. I love the place.

They should really let you know youll be sharing a table with other people. A couple sat down with my boyfriend and I and it was incredibly awkward. The "Shakespeare" play we saw tonight was atrocious. We left at intermission because the humor was awful and the actors were spraying us with sweat. Awful experience. Screaming and yelling and goofiness without any real reference to Shakespeare. A loud, immature spectacle that got old after 3 minutes. Some people left half way through.

I had a great experience at the Repertory Theater. I have now seen two shows there and they were both excellent. The theater is intimate. This is great when the audience is respectful, but if someone is talking during the show you can hear it all the way across the theater. Concessions are a little pricey, but overall I have had a great time during my two plays and will definitely be back.

Absolutely Fantastic Evening!!! This was our first visit and we loved it. The show, "The Devils Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith" was incredible. The Stackner Caberet was the perfect venue. The whole room was filled with sound. Definitely would go again.

Forgetting to request disability access seating, we needed to change our seats ten minutes before the play started. Staff was wonderful, efficient, and kind. Seats were in the same section. The theatrical selections for the season are always enjoyable.

The best theater experience available in Milwaukee. Great talent. Season tickets at reasonable prices. Variety of genres. Dinner theater. Bar available. Parking structure in facility. Just a great way to enjoy an evening alone or with friends!

Easy parking and access, but its tricky finding the parking garage the first time. Theater is small and cozy so you feel "connected" to the performers, but seats are very narrow and can get uncomfortable (even skinny people were complaining).

I became a season ticket holder several years back -- a worthwhile investment! I love the variety of shows and venues that the Rep offers. Some productions are better than others, but all are wonderful.

I went to my first play here. I like how they are trying to draw younger people out to plays, by offering discounts for my age group (20-35).

Lovely small theater. Loved the production we saw and that they hate helping UWM students after their theater fire damage.
