Overall, the dining experience at Prelude is a pleasant, but not remarkable one. The menu would lead one to believe that the dishes, combined with the convenience of the location merits the price. It doesnt. The main selling point remains the convenience. Meal: The soup was quite nice. The compressed watermelon (cubes) with an arugula-based salad was interesting as a concept, but never came together. Main course was seared Ahi Tuna, which was pleasant, but unremarkable. We ate several desserts during intermissions for The Ring. The chocolate flourless cake had an unpleasant gritty texture but a chocolate torte was amazingly rich and pleasant. Strawberry shortcake was well executed, my grandmother would have approved. Cellar has a nice variety of half-bottles, but the full bottle selection is sadly lacking. Had the full selection been better, I would have been more likely to buy one, since you can have them hold it for you for seating for a dessert during an intermission, which is a pleasant option. There are better options within easy walk of McCaw Hall.

Nice music/theater venue. Plenty of seats with a nice view of the stage from just about anywhere. Acoustics were particularly impressive, I was listening to classical, but it would be interesting to hear other genres. One negative is how snobbish the staff is. I tried to take a photo, since there werent any signs indicating that it wasnt allowed, nor did anyone say before performance that it was the case. I wasnt using a flash, out of respect for the performers and viewers and was sitting around row 40, on the far side of the row. After taking a photo, I was immediately approached by a staff member, who shone a light in my face and whispered in my ear that if I take another photo - theyll kick me out of the theater. He was a bit more polite than that, but certainly nowhere near as polite as he shouldve been.

I have been attending the Pacific Northwest Ballet at McCaw Hall for over 15 years. It is a beautiful building with magnificent pieces of art inside and out. My personal favorite hangs from the ceiling almost like a chandelier (if it was massive and ornate and full of color!) and was created by Sarah Sze. The auditorium is also beautiful, and the seating is staggered just right to make sure the stage is easy to view. I always try to dress nice (I avoid jeans and tennis shoes at least) to respect the ambiance so much effort went into. I highly recommend taking advantage of any chance to see a performance here!

Its a nice venue. If youre fortunate enough to have the opportunity to catch a concert there its a must! Recently caught Chris Tomlin and Steven Curtis Chapman and because the venue is on the smaller side you have the opportunity to get close and enjoy a performance in a way that you simply cant when you attend a concert in an arena. The sound is amazing and I will definitely return to catch another show or two!!

I work at the Seattle Center giving out information and we get a lot of phone calls in regards to Google information being incorrect as to where the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall is. The address for the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall here are incorrect. Seattle Centers address is 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109. The Marion Oliver McCaw Halls address is 321 Mercer Street, Seattle, WA 98109.

This is a venue for seeing performances, like opera or ballet. The quality of various operas and ballets vary, but as a venue, this place does the job quite well. The only downside is after leaving a performance, the single vein leading to the interstate (Mercer) is nearly a parking lot. Expect significant waits as you leave the parking structure and attempt to merge onto Mercer.

Hearing that the Hansel & Gretel production was outstanding, I took a chance to buy a ticket less than an hour before performance on a Friday night. Pulled into the Opera House Garage, and at the box office asked if a RUSH ticket for seniors (beginning 2 hrs. before performance) was available, saying Id like a seat close up.

Holding at event at McCaw Hall is made much easier thanks to the helpful, hard-working, and savvy staff. As a volunteer for a nonprofit thats used McCaw for three major events, including one that filled the house, Ive seen firsthand how helpful and accommodating they are to make sure the show comes together successfully.

Home to the Seattle Opera and PNW Ballet. Walking in here you definitely get the feeling youre in for a fantastic performance. This venue was absolutely built to perfection for the opera and ballet. I love how bright this lobby is and the way the main hall is painted to focus you to the stage without you noticing it.

There are no bad seats. McCaw Hall was obviously carefully made so every seat is good. Ive been here a few times and have had good experiences--even when Im far from the stage. The interior is beautiful and fulfills that "night at the theatre" feel. Lots of concessions available, and plenty of room for wandering.

Incredible venue for live music. The acoustics are amazing. Caught the Tedeschi Trucks Band live here on September 14, 2016 during their successful tour supporting their Let Me Get By album. The seating is comfortable. Great food and drink. Beautiful, lively atmosphere for music.

Gorgeous venue, great sound. It has a very interesting little shop and a restaurant. The day we attended an opera, they had live music playing on the lobby while people waited, it was very pleasant. There is a parking lot connected to the building, which is very convenient.

Wow! The architecture alone is reason to visit. The acoustics surround you as they should. I dont think there is a bad seat in the house. Good lay out overall. Loved that you could preorder food and drink for intermission. Just a great overall experience!

I think its overrated and customer service was alright based on my experience. Had seating issues but they could not assist...i thought the Nutcracker was overrated as well. Fun and pretty...but I would see it elsewhere next time.

Amazing ushers, talented dancers, incredible music. Everyone is joyful, helpful, and cheery. All people should experience McCaw Hall at least once in their lives. But Ive experienced it about 25 times...an I keep coming back.

Beautiful performance Hall. I love coming here to see the PNB ballet company perform. Its the kind of space where every seat is a good seat. The architecture is lovely and its a gorgeous space to spend an evening.

First time visit I saw The Nutcracker. Nice set up and the acoustics were awesome, both in the lobby and the auditorium - they had a choir moving about the lobby prior to the performance and during intermission.

Saw thenutcracker and it was amazing. Just like i remembered it being over 20 years ago. Took my 6 year old and she had an amazing time. After it was over she couldnt stop dancing and pretending to be a ballerina
