Compare to other community centers in West Seattle Highpoint is my least favorite. Taking in account how "friendly" the staff including the manager is and uniformed. On several occasions, I was able to get more accurate information about city wide programs, scholarships and cost grin other community centers. Alki and Hiawatha have a much better feel, so even though Highpoint is close ti our house, we often choose to sign up for classes elsewhere. Good people left, there must be a reason. Often times we sign up for classes and they get cancelled due to not enough interest. Old school coach Hopp really shouldnt coach kids. I am giving am two stars. One fir an excellent piano teacher Nancy and Johnny (I believe hes an athletic supervisor). And one star is for long hours of operation. The interior child use an update, but I imagine that the budget is tight and a community center this far south isnt a priority for the city of Seattle Parks and Recs. :-(

I come here for an adult martial arts class and have been coming here for years for different classes and activities with my kids. Staff has been helpful and friendly.
