only reason I keep going is because of the proximity to where I live and its cheap...but, as they say you get what you pay for... at this place anyways. If you decide to play twilight and rent a cart and try to take advantage of the 27 hole course.. theyll only let you use the cart for 18 holes and put a time limit on it.... unlike other places that will let you play till dark and get as many holes as you can on the cart. The driving range has nets that are about 50 feet high. I dont know how many times Ive been almost hit by a ball on the 9th hole of the gold course because balls are coming over the net from the range. They really dont have a chipping green. And if you like to enjoy a beer while you play bring your own cause the restaurant where you normally buy beer closes around 5pm even in the summer... I believe. In the winter there is no drink lady... so if you do get a chance to buy a beer buy two or three cause you may not get another opportunity... but thats why I just bring my own when I go there. Also as of 2-19-12 they still havent picked of the limbs from the storm we had so bring extra balls cause youll lose them in the piles of limbs everywhere... not to mention... if you have nice clubs and tend to get of the fairway becareful of the rocks everywhere cause you will chip your clubs on rock you wont see.... Other than that its alright in the summer months... oh and the old guy with the lazy eye is kind of rude.. the other guys are cool. Hope this was helpful.

I went to this course with my father, best friend, his father and myself. We are not the best golfers to run the course so we paid for 18 holes and set off. Throughout the first 9 we let quite a few people play through very; everyone was very cordial. Unfortunatley when we finished our first 9 holes we sat to have a bite then went on....only to be harrassed by the people working inside. They were saying that we were moving to slow for the course and if we wanted to keep playing we need to move faster. Needless to say myself and my partners were very upset and tried to hold our thoughts to ourselves, but the last nine were horrible because no one was in a good mood. All together our party paid well over $250 for everything, only to be ruined by horrible customer service. The guy working the shop could have approached the situation differently, but had no respect for anyone but himself. Throughout the whole day people were kind to us while we finished a hole, then we would wait and they could play through, but unfortunatley one person ruined the day for us. Both of our parents were up here on vacation, both of us are veterans and now call washington home. If you want to hit this course at full pace and dont care about customer service, or service that even cares about the people then this could be a good course for you. Well never go back.

Same thoughts as the person a few people below. Read some not so great reviews, was reluctant to try the course, but I wanted to play a new course so I gave lipoma a shot... The experience was great from the minute you drive into the parking lot. Very aesthetically pleasing, beautiful landscape. The customer service was grade a. The golf carts are very nice and clean and come with optional doors (not seemingly important, but it was pouring rain when we were there). 27 hole course that you can score on if you hit it straight. Each fairway is skinny and surrounded by majestic towering evergreens, so being accurate is a must but its also scramble-able. You wont lose many balls. The course was in GREAT condition. Tee boxes clean and divot free, and challenging, winding greens that featured a very smooth, true putting surface. Its a 45 minute drive for me from maple valley, but this course earned a regular, no doubt.

After reading several less than positive reviews I was reluctant to play Lipoma Firs but decided to try it any way and I have to admit that it was one of the best golfing experiences in recent memory. I found the course to be challenging to my double digit handicap but engaging none the less. After rounding the first nine as a walk-on I soon joined a group of three and spent the rest of the morning laughing and playing almost un-aware of the technical aspects of the course. It reminded me that this game is fun. This is not a high handicap members course. If you play the rough often you may be disappointed as the trees and natural flora present difficulties that usually end in lost balls or dropped shots yet even these issues can be overcome with some effective course management. I would recommend Lipoma Firs to all players as long as they remember that a certain pace is expected.

It is a beautiful course and it is relatively cheap. You think this would be good for your average player. However, if you are off the fairway you have probably lost your ball. While they keep a lot of the rough grass cut down, they do not keep heavy growth around trees cut back. You never feel as if you played a true round because of the time spent looking for and having to replace balls. There are plenty of courses around where you can be just off the fairway and play your shot.

The course is pretty nice. Can not say the same for the people working there or the way it is run. If you want to be hurried through your play just so that they can load 150 people on the course then this is the place for you. Horrible service, poorly managed, and obviously only interested in how much money they can get on the course.

Played 18 here and totally enjoyed the course. The greens were in good shape, but fairways well maintained except for a couple of muddy spots that were under repair. The landscaping is very nice, with tall fir trees lining the fairways. A nice course. Recommended.

The clubhouse restaurant has the Best prices for breakfast food in town! Great diner food, and really friendly staff. The course itself has improved significantly over the last few years. Its an average course with great mountain views, and it plays really long.

Seemingly helpful service, until he thought he hung up the phone and proceeded to bad mouth me to someone else in the office. Maybe you should make sure the phone is completely hung up before you bad mouth a potential customer. LOST MY BUSINESS!

Good local course thats in surprisingly great shape even as they tore out 9 of the 27 holes to build new homes. The facilities around the course arent great, but that doesnt matter — the course is good and cheaper than anywhere else nearby.
