Im not the happiest with this one, played it on a lovely day and conditions were good. Its very tight on a lot of the fairways and I enjoy a bit of room to work the ball. Typical public course were the etiquette of preschoolers out weighed a lot of the golfers out on this day. I stay uptown so if i head down to this side of town id honestly rather go to West Seattle(which has all the munis in the town beat by a long mile). Jefferson, along with many other golf courses in the area is plagued with congestion of too many players, growing trend is to let as many people out at once as they can, pace of play is slow, no course management in the sense of keeping up pace of play. On the positive, greens were nice with a decent amount of score able holes. Dont know how it holds the water in the winter, cant imagine too well as I have failed to find a course that does, kinda rains a lot out here. Overall, slow play, tight course, and a bunch of wankers for customers will prevent me from returning, garunteed youll find yourself saying "typical" a number of times whilst playing, unless of course you are one of said wankers, who will be too busy with their heads stuck up their backside to be concerned with playing a round of golf.

I have been playing Jefferson off and on for many years you could say Im a Muni rat. After playing Jefferson this last weekend I was horrified to find out the changes to hole 11 and 12 from Par 4s to 3s are permanent. These changes make this once fine golf course that Freddie Couples roamed as a youngster into executive course. He would be appalled with this change. Nobody with a love of golf would put 3 par 3 in a roll! I have talked with many people and the general feeling is this decision has ruined Jefferson for ever! I personally will never play there again! Disgusted Golfer

The 1-star is for the Foot Golf. We went in March, so maybe the course has better grounds keeping in the summer. As for March, the holes were difficult to find even with the map, the hole maintenance was aweful making it very difficult to roll the ball in, and the alignment with the par3 course made it a pain for both golfers and footgolfers. Great idea, just poor execution at the moment. I hope they improve it!

The range facility is top notch, but the Executive 9 that I played the other day was mediocre at best. I can understand minor maintenance issues since its so early in the season, but there were a lot of random pot holes throughout the course and most greens had extra random holes on them, some big, some small. It was a nice and easy course to play, but I was paranoid about stepping into one of the holes.

We came to play the course for the first time but end up leaving before our tee time due to the incredibly rude treatment we received by the two men working at the driving range. If you want to pay $25 for a bucket of balls and then sit around for over 90 minutes and be treated rudely while you wait....I recommend Jefferson park. We will certainly never be back though.

One of the 4 Seattle Premier golf courses. This public course has decent greens and fairway conditions. Growing up on these courses, youll find a very flat and open front 9, then as you head over to the back 9, the course gets more shot placement and demand to make better shots. You can expect a few blind shots and doglegs.

If you happen to be in Seattle this summer and are looking for a place to go golfing, check out the Jefferson Park Golf Course on Beacon Ave. This course doesnt sport the hills that Seattles two other major municipal courses do, but the views and surroundings make this one of the best public courses to play on in the city.

After their make over a few years back, this is a really fun course. The double decker driving range is nice and clean. The view is fantastic, you can see the high rise and water of downtown Seattle. The club house food is cheap and really tasty. Fast and friendly staff. Best bargain in the city for 9 and 18 holes.

May 30, 2010 The greens were in good shape and were a challenge to read. The pin placements were consistently and rediculously close to the fringe, in a couple cases perhaps even illegally so. The course is generally forgiving and a nice round close in town. Kent

This course is great for the beginning to intermediate player. Just make sure your slice is manageable as the first few and last few holes are parallel to on-coming traffic! Also of note is the great par 3 course for $8.50. Driving range usually has spots avail.

Good place for the kids to play too. Tennis is live action with the boys and girls community center during business hours. If your phone service is deprioritized just move down closer to the veterans hospital and your phone reception will improve.

Jefferson is the driest course in the City, with the exception of 1 and 2, but the rest of the course is fabulous! They punched their greens just two weeks ago and they are rolling! Yay! It is truly a bargain for close in golfing

I think this is the coziest of the Seattle municipal courses. The home of golf hall of fame, ODeas own...Freddie Couples. Decent track...executive 9 + updated driving range.

Go after 8pm and get the twilight special, 2 buckets for the price of one. Too hard to hit 2 buckets of jumbo in one hour.....Exec 9 isnt bad, but keep in mind its public.

Nice course. Relatively open. Nicely maintained. No water hazards. A couple holes shortened because of the loss of trees. Nice clubhouse and driving range.

Foot golf was fun, beware it shares the pitch and putting course. Add bonus great views of the city and Olympic mountain range on good weather days

The new clubhouse and practice facilities are fantastic. My only complaint is that the hitting mats are a bit worn and need to be replaced soon.

The course is challenging enough and the conditions are great. Pace of play is a bit slow, but a great place for a late round.

Didnt play a round but the driving range is fun. Close to the clubhouse/bar, relaxed and you dont have to be super quiet.

It was a blast! Hit range balls. The staff helped me to pick a package that includes a beverage and a bucket of balls.

Favorite Muni course close in to Seattle. Plays flat and not a ball eater. Nice updated club house and driving range.

Play tennis at this park. Two of the nets are in need of repair. Other than that they are good courts to play at.

Not bad layout. Used to be a short par 70, now a 69. Still good course, but back nine starts with three par 3s...

Wierd driving range staff. Got half the balls and told him but no money back. Par 3 is totally rad play that.

Great for an after work 9 holes during the summer, and the driving range has one of the best views in the city.
