Apparently sexual harrassment of patrons is still par for the course.......after settling with former female employees and applicants a few years back for alleged sexual harrassment and unwanted advances by ownership/management, it appears that type of behavior is condoned. I say that because after being brought to the course managements' attention, they did nothing. My daughter was approached by some guys handing out flyers soliciting for an "Asian Hooker Party/Tournament" that was apparently to take place that day....NOT COURSE SANCTIONED; BUT THE PATRONS WERE NOT REMOVED! This flyer was given to my UNDERAGE, part-Asian daughter by a group of hack patrons who were also doing things like letting groups play through and then sounding an air horn on the back swing. As any good golfer knows, THAT ALONE, if brought to course management, is reasonable grounds to have a patron or group dismissed from the course. Nevermind that there are guests out there engaging in lewd suggestive behavior....and on a Sunday no less! Manangements reaction? Let 'em play! OK then, Horseshoe Lake, not only have you lost my respect and patronage, you will lose any and all of it from anyone I associate with, which is to say A LOT!!! PS-Owner refused to return my repeated calls to explain this policy and based on the courses storied history, I don't blame him. He was, I was told, the man in the Pro Shop that day who made that decision.

I purchased a gift card for my fiancé for Valentines Day, $100, thinking that he could get 2 sessions out of it, based on the prices shown online, or very close to. Sadly, he got barely 1 game out of it. He took my father with him as a new customer to check out the course(he paid for himself) and also took our 7 year old son who came along to just watch Grandpa and Dad golf. Unbelievably, they charged him around $15.00 just to sit and watch(“Spectator Fee”) , we don’t know exactly what the fee was seeing how they did not give him a receipt, but based on our calculations of what he paid and what he got back the $15 seems correct. He returned from what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable golf session with just barely $20 of the $100 gift card and very upset with how he was nitpicked over every charge and that for it to be so expensive not the best service or course. My fiancé is an experienced golfer, who travels for work and has been to golf courses all over the United States and has never heard of a “Spectators Fee” and prices that didn’t match the course or service. He was thankful to me for the gift but will never be returning there again!

$50 for 18 holes. is such a stretch on any course anymore. Lets not discuss Trophy Lake 5 minutes away being much better course, or McCormick Woods being 10 minutes away and much tighter course. Theres this dump up the road called Gold Mountain - Olympic...that hosts USGA national events with aspiring pro golfers, or at least elite golfers for their age groups. The cost? $50 on Golf Now. How they can even charge that at HL is beyond me. Had discussion with an employee once and she had a whole bunch of excuses on how they are busy all the time. We had this discussion near the parking lot with all 5 cars within ear shot. I was there on a 2 for 1 on line coupon from a 3rd party vendor otherwise I have stopped playing this course about 3 years ago. It is a fun course to play, but its not worth $50.If they lowered their price to $20-30 theyd have to beat people away with sticks. For $50 though....go and play anytime you want without the crowds. The crowds are playing the better courses for less money. Last heavy play from me was their $100/4 rounds deal in winter of 2012 I think it was. Please lower your green fees.

Disc Golfers appreciate the chance to play at Horseshoe Lake Golf Course, The first integrated course in Washington State next to California and a few on the east coast. The course has developed a championship level Disc course for pros and amateurs a like. Disc Golfers are just like Ball Golfers and move at the same pace. Occasionally a Ball golfing group will play slow and that is not much different for all types of golfers. The course management looks forward to the call to Marshall the slow golfers whether they are Disc Golfers or Ball golfers. Disc Golfers only play the front 9 golf holes. (18 for them) The back 9 is clear. We consistently have 4.5 hr rounds or less. Chloe, the critic below, is one of the few complaints so far. So if you get behind slow golfers whether Ball or Disc, give us a call and we will go inspire them to speed it up for you or let you play through.. Check out our Facebook page. We are having fun. You will too. If not, let us know and we will try to cheer you up.

If your willing to pay top dollar for course that isnt the best groomed, its probably because you like the fact that you always get on any time of day and not be held up. However, when you pay top dollar and you get stuck behind large groups of disc golfers that move along the course at a 3rd of the pace, it is no longer convenient or worth it. My suggestion to anyone planning on golfing here this year, would be to call ahead and make sure their is no chance of getting stuck behind a group of disc golfers. Not saying theyre bad people, just saying I personally dont have time for a 3hr round to turn into a 6hr round. Otherwise Ill just go to equally priced course 10 mins down the road.

The scenery is ok, and the course is challenging. However, the atmosphere is nothing but pretentious. We were 5 minutes behind on the front. After hole 10, we were threatened by the course marshall/owner to either skip a hole or we were going to be kicked off the course because there were a hundred people behind us waiting! (Umm 9 hole x 4 people/hole = 36 people!) We all have established and registered handicaps with the lowest at 20. The owner has some serious confrontational issues. Attitudes like that ruin the rest of the round. This course is a wannabe country club.

This is one of my favorite courses and seeing the course conditions improve tremendously the past year makes it even better. The greens have definitely picked up speed since last year. The prices are as affordable as they get, and it includes a golf cart, the best deal in the area for sure. I will definitely be coming back again. I also attended a golf tournament scramble for a local charity and had so much fun, a great place to raise money for our cause.

Lets start off by the sign on the first tee. It clearly states shirts must be worn in view of the club house. The front 9 was great when you get to the back 9 the fairways looked like someone used it as a 4 wheel drive park. The fairway grass is deep enough to be rough. I will never pay the green fees here again. $40 for 18 holes with a cart during twilight. You can find alot better deals in the area.
