Amazing club! Green Hills Country Club is the best kept secret on the Peninsula. Its located near SFO airport but youd never know it was there. The golf course is second to none. Its an eminently playable Alister Mackenzie design (Augusta National, Cypress Point, Pasatiempo, etc.) and its always in great shape. They have super amenities like a beautiful clubhouse, tennis courts, state of the art fitness center, and a full aquatics facility. The best part about this club however, is the membership - friendly and welcoming, and family-oriented. There are tons of events for kids (movie nights, golf instruction, kids camps, etc.). Its obvious that they have invested a lot into the club with an immaculate golf course, newly renovated clubhouse, new tennis courts, and a great staff that provides excellent service. The club has been there for 80+ years and is financially sound. They have top-notch leadership from GM (Ken), Superintendent (Walt), Head Pro (Trevor) and Chef (Wolfgang). The membership is expanding quickly as more and more people are learning about this hidden gem and are taking advantage of the Prelude membership offer they just rolled out (allows members to try the club for 4 months with no commitment). Great quality golf course, fantastic service and amenities, and a really nice group of members. All at a value that far exceeds other local clubs.

"A gem of a course" truly it is, a classic lay-out by master designer Alister Mackenzie - 1929, beautifully maintained, a gorgeous track with exceptional views. Its hilly but eminently walkable, way up on a hill overlooking SFO. As for play ability, its a tough course for a high handicapper like myself; this is a course that demands strategy, skill, and a little course knowledge in order to score well. Accurate shot placement is required on nearly every hole ... drives on the par fours, 2nd shots on the par fives - poor placement sets one up for bogies hole after hole. Play it with a member who knows it well; and expect fast, somewhat hard to read greens. But by all means play it if you can. 9/17/13.

Played the course recently and was totally impressed. Great greens, tight, well maintained fairways. Need a good short game to score well. Absolutely worth the $10,000.00 asking price for a non-equity membership. This country club is a a diamond in the rough, similar to where my drives wound up.

someone one watched me pee in the bushes once when i was there with my grandpa, it was for his 78th birthday. Not to sure it was a maintenance worker but it was a enigmatic experience . Still had a fun time! Highly recommend!

I had a chance to play this course again today. I was a member for 30+ years. It is a jewel. Very well maintained. The new clubhouse is great. I wish I could have played better.
