I got married there July 2016. Went for our tour and met David their on site care taker. Was a little alarmed by him because I would reference my contract with the lodge owner his response would always be oh she doesnt ever come here so we dont follow her rules. One example he said he wouldnt be charging us for any tents or trailers. Another example is he mentioned that my husband should bring his gun up and he could shoot it in the parking lot for fun. I never even relayed that message to my husband because he wouldnt want to do that anyway. Got to the venue for our wedding weekend. Lodge was very dirty. Lawn wasnt mowed. It made it difficult to walk in my dress.Friday evening we had our rehearsal and some of our wedding party and family who were staying the night had a few drinks. The caretaker David kept coming out very Intoxicated and haning out with our friends and family. With that being said skip to the night of the wedding one of our guests irresponsibly did a firework without our knowledge it was going to occur. The caretaker David came out in front of all our guests yelling and was clearly intoxicated that he would shut the wedding down if that happened again. We apologized over and over again and that did not happen again. The next morning we are cleaning and packing up as we were required to be out if the lodge by 9 am. David and the other care taker were walking around making comments to everyone that they were so excited to get us out of there. Then when we were about to leave he came to me with a $400 bill for tents and trailers of guests whos stayed the night. I said I was not expecting a bill because you said you wouldnt charge us. His response was because the firework was done he is charing us now. I agreed to pay it but we did have a little verbal argument and I mentioned I was confused by the fact that the firework was such a huge deal but yet we could shoot guns there? He got very angry very fast and everyone could smell alcohol on him. Trying not to ramble and tell the whole story he ended up shoving my mother and told us to get the f*** out. We didnt persue any police as we just wanted to leave and forget about it. Not let it take away from our wedding experience. Then about 6 months later a friend of mine who was engaged and looking for a venue asked me what I had thought of the lodge. My response consisted of I was pleased and I would recommend it. Overall other than David it was a beautiful place. He ended up doing a tour. During the tour he mentioned to David his friend referred them and mentioned our name. David responded with oh yes the groom put a gun to my head and threatened my life. My friend then called me afterwards and questioned me about the event as he was in disbelief. My jaw dropped to the floor I couldnt believe David had made up a story like that about us after we just left and didnt involve and police who would of put him in jail for assult because we arent people of drama. I then called the owner who told me that was also the story she got from David about us. I questioned her asking why no one would of called police or even called us to ask what happened. To me those allagations are extremely serious and not something you dont address. After arguing with here back and forth she said she would go to the lodge and repermand David and write us an apology as well as address the issue with my friends and make sure they knew that was false and she was sorry David was saying those things to other clients. I was unhappy with that response as I thought that was a more serious issue if your employee is stating false things such as threatening his life to the public about your previous customers. She said with her health and not being able to find good help she wasnt willing to do anymore. She did write us an email apologizing. I am very upset that situation was not handled in a professional manor. During our wedding night we also had to turn the lights on ourselves and there was no propane for the fireplace. So point is hes not helpful either. Advice be careful around David.

I had such a positive experience at the Wallace Falls Lodge. I was in the area for survey work and they were very quick to respond to my email inquiry, making last-minute accommodations for me. Finding lodging while in the field can be stressful but they made it extremely easy. I was greeted by friendly staff (Mark) when I arrived and was given a quick tour. Mark gave me all the details I needed and had a great sense of humor. I felt comfortable knowing he was nearby to answer any questions I had but was also given my privacy. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fully equipped kitchen (pots/pans, spices) and a really friendly kitten (lives outside/not in the lodge to avoid issues if people have allergies). The room was small-ish but large enough to spread out all of my survey gear and also a yoga mat, and the bed was very comfortable. The internet speed was great which is important to me because I have computer work to do in the evenings. I basically had this whole lodge to myself at an extremely reasonable rate and would absolutely stay here again for work or for pleasure. Preferably with some friends bc they have a lot of games and puzzles and a hot tub etc. Lastly I think its worth mentioning that I had a positive interaction with a different staff member when I left who mentioned remembering a coworker of mine, which I thought was nice. My coworker also had a positive experience two years ago, I think he even said "I love that place!"

My team of high school teachers went up to Wallace Falls Lodge for a retreat. It is reasonably priced, clean, well equipped - and a lovely, lovely location. There were ample spaces for the 12 of us to meet as a group and for breakout sessions in smaller groups. The lawn was fun for frolicking; the hot tub was relaxing; the access to the state park for hiking was great. We tried to get lunch catered but realized we had to all have the exact same entree, and since we are all picky eaters, that didnt work out, so we just picked up some lunch food at the Fred Meyer in Monroe on the way. We went out to dinner at the Hacienda Mexican restaurant one night, and the other night we got takeout from Wallace Falls Cafe. They were both decent options but next time we will probably plan better and bring all our own food. Mary was helpful and accommodating, and the innkeepers were charming and friendly. We had absolutely no complaints about the lodging, and plan to return there for our next retreat. Thanks for everything!

To the owners and staff at Wallace Falls Lodge, thank you so much for making my wedding a fairytale and dream come true! The lodge was everything my husband and I hoped for and more, and it was the perfect avenue for hosting out-of-state wedding party members and family. I loved having the place for three days; it gave us the opportunity to have rehearsal the night before the wedding while accommodating guests at the same time. I am 100% confident that our wedding had ZERO problems and ran so smoothly BECAUSE we had the lodge to ourselves for all of that time. We were already set up Friday night so Saturday was just blissful and take-down was a piece of cake, and Sunday after was relaxing and cozy. Even though we had pouring down rain, we were still able to get amazing photographs due to the individuality of the lodge and its beautiful architecture. I could not have found a more perfect spot to celebrate our marriage, and I cant wait to come back for either an anniversary or family reunion. Thank you!
