The moment I went into this building my lungs felt terrible, smoke was everywhere in this building without any A/C to filter the unhealthy smoke filled air. Even though my lungs were hurting after entering I couldnt leave because of a work Christmas party but at the first excuse I did leave, my lungs felt better but my lungs are still hurting from that place a day later. The service kept coming up and blowing smoke in my face and my general area even after telling them not to like they had a 10 second memory. Oh and the cold mixed drinks were non-existent, even though they were on the menu, why? The blender was broken, so I guess MIST only owned one blender and couldnt afford another one? The food was okay, the chicken and french fries are great. The drinks werent that good or strong. My friends hookah machine is much better quality with multiple hoses they only had 1 hose per hookah on every machine. The sofa were full of holes and were of terrible quality. There was only 1 big TV and my seat couldnt see it. All the other TV that my seat couldnt see the ball for football looked like a ant couldnt really tell if plays were good. I cant imagine why anyone would want to spend money here expensive for low quality everything. At least they have alcohol. Ive been to many other hookah lounges before when I was younger and the building did not hurt my lungs, if your given a choice whether to go or not......deny the offer. I wish I did, or I wish we had it at someplace else where my lungs didnt punish me.

When entering the establishment seven peers and myself where searched while 3 gentleman of another race get the friendly wave to come through no need to be searched. Looking around shortly after being seated I then noticed being the minorities of the lounge we were sat in the back corner while the majority of the crowd was seated in the middle. Our server was very pleasant and we never had a problem with him I wish we could capture his name before leaving . The most shocking and disturbing event of the night was after spending 300 dollars with a table in Mist two late guest of ours arrived to be told they could not enter. First for the sneakers then for the sweatpants..... The "okayed" the sneakers but when said no one was allowed in the building with sweatpants. Even though sweatpants are in high fashion at the moment and the there was a young man sitting directly next to me with sweatpants my friends were denied.... I took a picture and showed the manager and owner that there was someone with sweatpants in there establishment and the manager said to me word for word .... "Because you showed me that picture hes not allowed in !!! " feeling highly out of place and uncomfortable especially after security surrounded me while talking to the owner as if I came across as a threat when two grown ups are having a conversation about business I left the establishment immediately. Come Monday the BBB will hear from me expressing ALL OF MY CONCERNS .

As a young professional in the NOVA area, Ive chosen to live in Reston. Reston is beautiful, not terribly expensive, and quiet. The only problem is getting into DC for clubs and bars, or just finding a relaxed place to meet new people, is annoying. Mist changed that for me. The location couldnt be any better. Secluded behind the Cherry Blossom Restaurant & Banquet Hall, it has a view of the (man made, but still beautiful) lake which is absolutely exquisite in the day time with the windows open. Mist features big bay windows that allow for good air flow so that youre not sweating your ass off when youre dancing with friends. The night scene is diverse and exciting. Want to watch a game, but not miss out on some Friday night clubbing and socializing? This spot couldnt be any better. With DJs like EDDO playing the hottest mixes, hookah to relax with, stunningly beautiful women to talk to, and the coolest staff and security -- you wont be disappointed. The layout of the dance floor and seating is great too. Ive fallen in love with the size of Mist. Its not too big, yet not too small. Big clubs can almost make it a chore to socialize with people. Unfortunately Ive only had one thing to eat there and while it was good, Ill hold out on my food review until I spend more time there in the day.

Every weekend I am continued to be surprised by the turnout at Mist. As you can see from my past statement that by now, I would consider myself a regular here. Since I am a regular, there might be a couple of things that as new comer, I might not notice but there are many pros to Mist: -The Food -The Hookah -The Crowd/Environment -The View (Lakeside) -The Music and line-up of DJs -The Multitude of Big Screen TVs to watch whatever you want There are a few kinks that need to be worked out with service, and by a few I mean, JUST a few (1 or 2). I take it that when Cheesecake factory opened up their first location, they ran it like a well oiled machine....SIKE! Give it another week or two and this staff will be able to keep up with the exquisite clientele that want to come to a nice, upscale restaurant and lounge to have a good time.

While Johnathan Butler complains of "another race" I was let in by the bouncer (who was African American) with sandles and cotton bball shorts on a Thursday night and had a good time with my wife. The crowd was barely 21 and we are 36. Dj was good, but mixes were very short. Drink prices were way high. $45 for 3. Overall good experience for night 1. Next day came again better dressed but still sandles and got rejected by the same bouncer that recognized me and let me in the day before. --Dont see me crying racist. It was just bad business on their part. I took my money and friends elsewhere. I call their behavior power tripping and it doesnt matter your race.

A friend told me about this lounge! Unexpected surprise. Had an awesome night here! Tends to get a bit too packed around the bar area though. The person at the door suggested to make reservations ahead of time if we wanted one of the sofas. I believe he said it was $300 minimum to spend for a table. Which is not bad considering prices in DC clubs. Definitely doing that next time. But overall, great experience. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and awesome food. I suggest the Spicy chicken wrap. The french fries that come with it are phenomenal as well. Looking forward to another great night here! Good job Mist Lounge!

I started going to MIST last summer. Since day one I have received excellent service. There is tons of personality in the staff, from the bartenders to the Security. The drinks are spot on, the bartenders are constantly moving trying to get everyone served. The servers are constantly making sure everyone at there tables have what they need. The music choice is always the hottest songs and the best of both past and present. The general vibe of the place is meant for fun. Definitely one of the best spots in Northern Virginia.

Music was great, service was quick. Had three double vodkas & it was $75. The drinks themselves were $63...okay, a little higher than what Im used to, but expected nonetheless. Then they tacked on a 20% gratuity even though my tab wasnt a walk-out. Im all about tipping my bartenders, but $12 for pouring 3 drinks? For fancy cocktails in a high-scale bar, definitely, but three double Titos in STERLING?! Totally ridiculous. Wont be going back for that reason alone.
