I ate at the Lee Club on Mothers day. Everything was delicious. The waffles were the best I have ever had. They almost floated of the plate they were so light. The fried squash with the onions was the best I have ever had. The service was impeccable. The layout was such that there was plenty of space around all the tables to get around. The only thing that would have made it better would have been names of dishes displayed in front. I took grits thinking it was spoon bread. I made the reservation for one particular thing. The Scallops. I got some gravy with sausage in it thinking that was the scallops only to taste it and see it was sausage. Very good but not what I wanted. I asked the chef at the end of the table where the scallops were and he pointed at the gravy on my plate and said that was it. Twice I went through the buffet line looking carefully for the scallops. After I was so stuffed I could not eat another bite I went once more just to see where the scallops could be. The pan that I was sure was macaroni and cheese had now been stirred around and I saw seafood in it. The gentleman standing there offered me a plate but I was too stuffed then to even taste it. Now that is all I can think of. It looked so good. I did notice it has sea legs (artificial crab made from various fish). I am allergic to something in that so maybe God was protecting me from myself. Why they felt it necessary to mess up scallops and shrimp with that is beyond me. Everything else was perfect and delicious and very well replenished. I did not try the Roast Beef, or Turkey or ham but they looked good too. I ate the smoked salmon but not the baked one. The smoked was excellent. I will definitely go back next year if I have the opportunity and this time I hope they will have identified the different foods. Thank you so much for providing such an excellent buffet. Janet Beaudet

Years ago Ft Lee used to host a lunch meal at the Lee Club and it was great. Last week we found out that it had been moved to the Regimental Club and thought lets go try it out. Well for $9, you get your choice of undercooked, cold, unattractive food selections. I was very displeased at the bland mediocre quality of the food there. It was very disappointing and needless to say we will not be returning there.

This is good cafeteria food. Fine dining compared to a DFAC. For on post food, fantastic.
