My ONE star is for to preschooler program; it is about a particular guy in charge (of preschool kids) - the one that always a a red shirt. Anyway, tried to get him to explain the family restroom rule s but he was really rude about it. The facility only has one family restroom with two showering area. It was explained (my kids have been taking lessons there for months so I know the rules well) that only parent with opposite sex kid over 3 can use that restroom due to the limitations. There are many new parents enrolling each session taking the same sex of kids as them in there. I asked the instructor to go in and explain because many kids were shivering waiting for the two showers. Instead, their parents could have taken them to the male or female side which has many more showers available. He just told me NO that he is not going in there to clarify. Very uncaring, rude and immature to be put in charge of that section in my opinion. Several time I see him flirting with the new girl instructors before starting of the class. Those girls were very inexperienced and always have no idea how to teach compared to other Plano aquatic facilities. The 6-12 years old groups, however, was more organized. The directors were more mature and caring. Instructors in charge of that group also are more experienced and able to really teach the kids compared to the other side.

I am using this pool as the Tom Muehlenbeck rec center pool is closed for annual upkeep and cleaning during May 2016. Best feature of this rec center is the many lanes available during the week for lap swimming. See photos. The worst feature is the locker room. An idiot must have designed it for its small size. Why so many lanes for swimming or aquatic fitness programs and such a small locker room? The place will never be better than 3-star for me because of the locker room. I have been swimming different days of the week in the morning and usually not more than four in locker room at a time. More than four it gets very crowded and personal. Back to the pool; there is always seems to be many lanes available. During the summer I suspect with kids coming for swim lesson there will be less lanes available. Will see. BTW: all of my swim times has been after the high school swim team(s) have left in the morning. UPDATE Late June 2016: very crowded in morning now that Plano area schools out for summer. Lots of kids at pool for lessons and such. Staff mentioned coming back after 1pm to find an open lane for adult lap swimming. UPDATE Oct 2016. Kids are back in school so there are many lanes open for lap swimming. Also construction should start soon on expansion of centre for exercise and locker rooms.

Lap swimmers heaven. Sure, # of lanes might be limited when swim teams practice, but lanes are wide open most of the time. Even peak hours (before and after school hours) you are likely swim without sharing a lane.

Great clean pools inside and outside. Outside pool great for kids. Its designed as a splash pool with slide. There are lounge chairs to sun and picnic tables available. Inside pool is huge. There is a separate shallow area for children with a slide. The large pool is designed for laps and goes up to 14 feet with a diving board. Pool is heated to about 83 degrees year round. Restrooms and showers are accessible on the pool level. The top level has a full gym but I have not perused it yet.

I would avoid this place during the summer and anytime school is not in session. Ended up getting a membership to another gym because of the summer craziness at this one. Kids running around without supervision, too many people fighting over the machines. It was nice during the school months, but during the summer its a mad house!

I love playing pickleball and volleyball there. And I took a really good class on lifeguarding now Im a certified lifeguard! I also like the pools they have. And its only a 15 min bike ride from my house so its perfect! And the people there are all mostly very nice. And I love that.

Awesome pool buy you have to hit it at the right time. Lots of swim programs, team etc so if you go at the wrong time it can be hard to have a lane thats not crowded. Pretty bad weight room unless youre a senior. Decent cardio equipment though and nice basketball courts

Well-maintained and clean, the pool satisfies both recreational (outdoors and indoors) and practical needs for all ages. Great staff, the facility might be small for some people, but it actually does quite nice if you are willing to enjoy yourself

Very disappointing center for Swimming. Kids not progressing in levels. Lack of skilled trainers. I came to know that kids complain that trainer is not giving demo but only telling how to do since he is not happy to make his hair wet.

Basketball Courts are dusty. They need to be washed and waxed. There are 6 baskets. But can never play on the full size court. Unless its empty. And its never empty. Not good for adult pick up games. Too many teenagers and children.

well, the facility and staffs are great, but there are a number of black kids there trying to pick locks and steal. when confronted, they became aggressive and no one can handle them.

Although the equipment r little old, they r gonna do a renovation this year. Looking forward to it. Has an indoor pool open all year around. And that is all I could ask for.

Great Olympic size pool, but very limited seating around pool, and cramped locker rooms with too many lockers and not enough benches.

Friday, we left our kids for the Kids Night Out. It is nice for the parents getting free. And the kids learn lots of gymnastics here.
